Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Return to Lunar Children

I fell in love with a shooting star

There seemed to be a constant restlessness in his long, thick blackened legs. He had grown much in his three years of life. His muscles had become toned, the meat on his bones filling out rather nicely. In fact, he was almost the spitting image of his white-coated father, arguably more handsome, and is arguably unaware of it. His black fur was often disheveled, with the red on his back flaring like a wildfire on a dry summer day. His hair was as wild as his own restless spirit that drove him out of Taviora and into the lands of the unknown.

He held eyes of mysterious opal. They flashed with colors of blue, yellow, and wild pink, seeming to sparkle in the dim light as he allows his tall form to wander with seemingly aimless purpose across the rocks of the crags. Sometimes, these gem like eyes tend to glance all about, in a fashion strange as he soaks in all the little details of the land he treads. Rocks seem to jut out at random angles, and his paws are now grown into his body, thus he can navigate them with much more ease than before. He passes by many happenings in the rocky land that is expanded before him. Dead plants seem to loiter in the cracks, their bodies withered from he harshness of the cold world. He wonders, if he too will one day wither away, between rocks or trees, to be eaten by scavengers that gawk in the trees.

In fact, he hears one gawking now. A group of birds, creatures that he loathes, taunting and laughing at him. Ravens, this group is. Their eyes are souless, black holes that only take and never give. His opal eyes shoot over in their direction, one sitting tall and proud on the limb of a dead, failed tree. It watches him as he walks past, parting its beak to cry at him. Starfall pauses, his eyes narrowing with his flamed hackles raises in the rage that burns deep within. He bares his teeth, fierce in his display. A warning for the raven to go no closer.

The raven only looks with its dead eyes, before the small flock suddenly spreads their wings and take to the sky at the sound of something behind him. Starfall feels his body tense as he twists his head, only to see nothing. His look of surprise fades as he thrust his head back towards the empty dead tree the raven once sat on. A trick. As usual. Starfall snorts in irritation, his tail lashing in the chilled wind behind him as he continues on. He is used to such treatment by his winged enemies.

The sun was finding its home deep behind the horizon now, but the cycle of the sun was one most random to the young boy. At time, it seems to rise and set in no particular pattern. His mother said it was all his lucid dreams, the other world that was not 'reality'. All he knew was, for now it was hiding its light, but it would appear soon once again.

His paws continued to fall upon the ground in a constant trot, only to be interrupted as his eyes catch sight of a black and white figure not too far off. Starfall, though often confused and not in the best of moods, was a rather curious and friendly male. He had spoken to many, and he held no cowardice or hesitation in walking right up to her...that is, until he saw the bird that lingers on her body.

Immediately he froze, the friendly smile on his handsome dark visage changing to something of pure confusion. Starfall had never known birds to be anything but evil creatures. Creatures that laugh, taught, and torture. Never once had a bird showed any type of bond or kindness towards any other creatures, that he observed at least. With his face wrinkling slightly, he pushed forth again, his head a bit lower with his opal eyes fixed on the smaller creature on the wolven vixen.

"Is it hurting you? Don't move...I can get it off," he said in a low voice, mature in sound but hushed as he edged closer. Despite being younger than she, he was indeed larger than the female before him, and easily he could snatch a bird off of her if he so needed. He wasn't about to let an innocent lass get tortured by a bird.
