Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

To Think I Might Not See Those Eyes
Makes it So Hard Not to Cry

Heart Pounds, lungs cease to function. Maybe it was the sudden deprivation of oxygen that caused this sudden chill beneath my skin, the butterflies to frendzy in my belly. He stares at me, this mirage, this wraith, and I stare at him in turn. Then quite casually, he comes forward. I do not move, just allow him to come to me. It was such a surreal moment, surreal and yet mundane in the same turn.

He touches me, the broad width of his muzzle pressing into the ruff of my neck, the moist heat of his breath warming my skin, tingling as the moist tip finds skin and drags along my shoulder in a tentative caress. A shiver rides hard down my spine and I feel my eyes close briefly, savoring the feel without even realizing it. He speaks my name and the enchantment is shattered. I shake my head, as if to rid myself the remnants of a dream, my far off expression replaced with a radiant smile with beams that cast brighter then the most dazzling diamonds before a fiery blaze.

I am glad that he steps away, giving me the chance to reclaim control of my bodice. Lungs suddenly gasp for air, sucking the life-giving aether back into my temple of feminine flesh as he smirks a positively wicked smirk and offers up a bit of banter to break the electric tension that fizzles in the air.

"Alligator Bait!" I laughed, a trill of crystal bells tinkling past my lips, "Nay, It seems I fall prey to far more foul beasties these days!"

Tassel dances in the breeze, for once a slightly flirty expression donning my refined features, amethyst eyes peering at him from beneath the thick veil of smokey lashes. "But Me-?! What of you?? After the Cataclysm I... I thought..." I had to take a breath, Willing myself for calm. "Well, I looked for you. I went to Mirovis when the star fell from the sky but you weren't there... I ended up having to run for my life. I got separated from my pack and searched for many days for anyone I knew. I assumed you were dead, I thought even my own parents were... then a band of Gypsies took me in and helped me find them, though I have built my life with the gypsies now."

It all spilled out at once, somewhat rushed in my reverie of the events leading up to the present. Suddenly a sharp chortle of birdsong echoes through the trees and Blue appears in the air above. The small Stellar's Jay that had become my closest companion circled once, then landed upon my shoulders. His body was a shimmering cerulean blue hue, his head capped in the deepest of night, much like Asa's one hooded helm. It was this likeness that had compelled me to save the bird from starvation when I found him injured with a broken wing 3 years prior. But I would not omit such a thing now, at least... not in present company.

"Oh!" I exclaimed, glancing from the bird to Asa and back again. "This is Blue, he is my Totem Spirit, much like mother's raven is to her." I smiled, and finally allowed my attention to drift to the other male wolf standing in our company. "And who is your friend here, Asa?" I inquire, not having heard any of their previous conversation.
