For all that Kastor tended to be reserved rather than playful, the spirit of the holiday and the prospect of a new friend seemed to be getting the better of him. While he did not make another noise despite the audible approach of the nearby strangers, he seemed unable to keep still, shifting his weight between his hind legs. Toric got the impression of a wiggly, impatient puppy, and politely kept it to himself. Kastor would have felt insulted and probably closed himself up again if he knew what he looked like. It wouldn't be fair to spoil his fun that way.

When the new dragon burst forth from the woodsy cover, Kastor backed up two rapid paces and raised his head to its full height, displaying a complicated mix of eager and submissive body language, his wings and frills laying limp but his poise tense. Despite all this, he couldn't quite seem to get a greeting past his throat, and merely stood there without a weird, staring right back.

Toric, meanwhile, had his eyes on the other two, most especially the wolf. When she smiled, so did he. "It is no trouble. The youth are meant to be curious. I'm glad it was a friendly sort who Kastor called and not something more dangerous." Granted, he knew nothing about this trio, and sometimes it seemed as if every beast on the mountain had dangerous connections, but he was more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. The wolf looked gentle, in any case, and Toric was all for making new friends.
