News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Alright, I’ll admit it, I called for family and I suppose by some extension of the word this stripy rock counts as family, if only by association and because some imbecile of an Angel in the heavens above had seen fit to annoy me further by making him the soul of my eldest daughter and thus forcing me in some regards to accept this ridiculous relationship and union that continues, if anything, to produce daughters, the pair never yet seeming to have produced a son, save for the one believe I only ever met as a newborn some years ago. Perhaps this time around, ZeZe will manage to sire a son, not that it matters I suppose, yet I am still inclined to blame ZeZe for such a lack of grandsons on this side of the family, then again, given Aaliyah and Isola’s ability to produce males and Azrael ridiculous luck in having a perfectly even amount of both genders, maybe there is nothing truly wrong with daughters to balance the total. Maybe I’m simply having trouble continuing to find things to dislike about Zildjian save for his utterly ridiculous appearance and the possibility that he is bound to crush my perfectly conformed daughter one winter or another. How they even manage I cannot say and truthfully I’d rather not think about it. I managed a dip of my head at his approach, respectful enough toward my son-in-law and yet I still find him an irritation, lip pulling into a smirk at his approach.

“There are countless wolves on this mountain Zildjian and of all to answer my call- it had to be you. Of course, don’t get me wrong, I am delighted to see you, I assure you- this is my happy face.”

I flashed a particularly toothy grin that may or may not have looked more like a snarl then anything else, violet eyes gleaming with veiled humour as I regarded the fellow. At least he is a step above his sire. Lucian never was anything other then useless and truly it is just as I predicted, his line has all but died out, wolves of this size not truly meant to exist. Nature alone has proven that. The only reason the blood of the Mirovis King continues to survive is because it clung onto mine like a drowning bug to leaf. Sudden movement beside me rapidly drew my attention down and towards the sight of the beautiful black and white child who had seated herself loyally at my side, her pelt glowing atop the snow, holding the unusual ethereal sheen of her mother’s line, the same emerald eyes as my Zen moving to rest upon Zildjian as her small ad yet beautiful features contorted slightly before announcing he smelled funny. Another smirk quirked lightly at my lip, chuckle humming within my throat. Truly there can be no confusion as to whose child this is, the girl clearly having the nose for scenting bad blood when she smells it, my pride within my Neveah swelling within my chest, so much so that I hardly saw the need to scold her for having followed me all this way. Like I said though, I am sure they moved the damn mountain, it was never this far before.

“Zildjian, this is Neveah, my youngest daughter from Zen. Neveah, this is your…brother-in-law I suppose, mate of your half-sister and my eldest daughter, Reyja and father of your nieces and nephews of the mountain- this is Zildjian. I see no need to go into his bloodlines, not much of a story there, just remember the size of this male and remember that this is what causes earthquakes, when wolves like that fall over. This is why there aren’t many left, all the falling.”

Violet eyes flashed with wry easy towards ZeZe, daring him to attempt to argue with an elder and his child as I so openly teased him, although whether Neveah understood it to be mockery I cannot say, perhaps she will grow up believing wolves such as he are responsible for natural disasters. In truth they probably are, I am just yet to prove it. As it is though I am also equally sure that Zildjian may be just as surprised as I am sure Reyja will be to discover I have fathered yet another child for truly I know not as to whether either my daughter or her unattractive mate were ever informed of my and Zen’s having produced a litter. Yes ZeZe, I can still get the job done, even at my age. Hopefully, f Reyja is not aware, she will still have the decency to accept her half-sister, unlike Azrael, the boy apparently of the opinion that I should never have taken a mate after Zev let alone sired children from her. Idiot boy- that one and besides, I am entirely sure I can do as I please, when to comes to Neveah I hold no regrets, she is perfection, flawless and I love her so very deeply. My youngest daughter, my Neveah. Destined for greatness. As it is though, I suppose I should attempt some pleasantries as we wait for Reyja. After all, I don’t entirely hate Zildjian I suppose.

“So tell me, ZeZe, how are my grandchildren, how many are there now?”
