With a hefty sigh, I stumbled into the river without thought. News that my parents were dead had reached me. My crystal blue eyes were tinted with red, as I was recently crying.

A small, wrenching sob rattled my body while I slipped myself into a shallow crook under a tree. More sobs escaped my muzzle as I trembled, laying on my side in a ball. A gust of wind shook the tree I lay under. With the lack of enthusiasm , along with little food, finally got to me. My eyes squeezed shut as I seemingly passed out.
