Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I held on to our shared prize feeling it twitch within my maw my blood rushing all the while excited to see it tear to see the blood poor. I do not know why I have always had this fascination with the life elixir but when Anselm around I feel it multiply. He brings the best out of me, perhaps some would argue this is a bad thing, but the perfect opalescent being was the only one I felt close too in this world. They say that it should be my family. Mother, Father, Iscariot, Sable and Apollo… Hah! They didn’t know me at all they didn’t want too! I found some comfort in having yelling matches with my elder sister at times, but everyone else… Well I wouldn’t care if it was them between Anselm and I rather than this rabbit.

My imperfect eyes meet his own violet and orange ones watching him as he seems determined to prolong the life of the suffering creature before us. I didn’t care about it, he was happy I could tell by the look in his eyes the movement in his body, though it was not my preferred way of killing something it didn’t bother me at all that the creature’s life would be coming to a excruciatingly slow and painful end. He tugged again and I saw the tear at the creature’s leg pouring the blood that I so liked and desired to see. There was a pause in that moment as my eyes locked onto the life liquid. I felt a pull like Anselm was testing me, seeing what I would do. I couldn’t resist the urge to pull back.

I pulled back harder than before hearing the tear and shrill screams of the creature knowing that it would pass out in pain, blood spurted as I stepped backwards the leg dangling out of my mouth. I watch Anselm with the remaining rabbit in his own maw, watching as the blood dripped out of the hole that I had created. I wasn’t sure if he would be upset or happy by my decision but I merely could not help the fact that I wanted to see more.

I stand there entranced for a moment watching the blood trickle to the ground before letting my eyes run up to Anselm’s blood stained muzzle. Our prey was dying if not already dead clearly it could not take the pressures I wished to put it through, but I knew we would have more chances to play with even bigger things as we grew. Perhaps now perhaps later I just hoped Anselm would not be angry with me.
