CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

Peter Barton and I on leaving the Army became chauffeur's with Nat West Bank One day we where called up to the directors office to be told we would be driving Princess Diana, when it all comes out she was visiting the Bank to see some of her charity workers and was to have lunch with them on the top floor Peter and I where given the job of Driving the LIFTS we worked it out that I would take her up to the top floor and Peter would bring her down. Whilst she was in the bank the lifts had to be locked off so no one could use them (Security) Me on the ground floor Peter waiting on the top floor for her she would be in the Bank for about an hour after about 1/2 an hour I saw Peter's lift was moving and out of the lift comes the Princess and Peter and out on to the street she goes with one police inspector as an escort all the rest of the police about 40 of them where down stairs in our canteen having their lunch I went down to tell them, what a laugh first of all they did not believe me but then it was pandemonium chick legs flying all over leather jackets and hi vis vest all over the place by the time they got there the Princess was at the top of King Street talking to the public waiting outside to see her.In the photo you can see Peter and I wearing our "By Royal Appointment Lift Drivers Badges is this bling ?
