Where are you off to my dear father?
It was the first question that touched my mind when I opened one of my stunning emerald eyes spying as my father removed himself from myself and my Mother’s warm curled up forms. He thought he was so sneaky wandering off this winter day, well I would have to show him what I had been practicing on the rabbits! I parted myself from my mother’s warm form, daring the cold just to see where he was going. They didn’t worry about me to much anymore. I think they thought I was finally over Saintly simply because I no longer visited his grave on a nearly day to day basis. I didn’t need to anymore, I knew he was with me I wasn’t alone or afraid. Though he did get pretty annoying sometimes telling me to settle down whenever I got too riled about something. He didn’t stop me this time though, in fact he encouraged me to follow. I didn’t blend in half as good as my father with this snowy surface so I had to be extra careful with my stalking him, but he moved so slow that it was easy to hide and catch up as needed.
I had never left the safety of Diveen’s borders before, but with my father so near I knew I was safe from anything or anyone as I traveled following him all the way across the lands. Where are you going daddy? Kept going into my mind, there were so many pretty sights when I thought he would stop he just kept right on going past them! I was so confused until I saw his target, the towering mountains that I was fairly certain the pack Spirane. Why would he go there? I knew I had siblings in all sorts of places it hadn’t occurred to me that he would go to them rather than them coming to him. It must have been pretty important for him to come out here though.
I follow my head low as finally he crosses the borders and lets out a call over the lands. Still wanting to hide myself I wait to see who he is calling for my bright emerald and violet flecked eyes waiting, my nearly pure black form poised and ready to appear next to my father as soon as said guest arrived. I didn’t have long to wait.
A giant wolf soon came over the hills of the mountain and I also came out of my hiding spot in a snow mound. I was a small little girl; half grown and just few inches over a foot tall so he was quiet the behemoth compared to me. I popped up beside my father as if I was supposed to be there, standing confidently as the big male approached us. He was like Uncle Devil in size and build and if I wasn’t with my father I don’t think I would have felt as confident as I did now. My nose twitched trying to gauge if I knew him based on his scent but… it was awful.
My face contorted slightly at the smell I could feel my brother’s disapproval with the words forming in my brain to tell him but I couldn’t help myself. He didn’t seem unkind but he certainly didn’t know the rules of taking baths. ”You smell funny…” I say eying him slightly. Didn’t he know the proper rules of taking baths? My father gave the best baths and it was clearly apparent on my beautiful black form and my perfectly pristine white patch on my chest. I was a princess after all I couldn’t be smelling like.. well whatever he was smelling like….
