Peace isn’t a permanent state. It exists in moments

ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS

You know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low

Being with Midas, Sylvia had felt high every waking moment. Of course at that time she had absolute no clue it was actually that feeling. The sense of being dizzy and blissfully happy had started the moment they met back when she was just barely a two year old. Never once did it stop or even simmer down through the years they had spent together even with his bluntly obvious love affair for someone else. Her aureate king had slowly become her best friend and love. Through the ups and downs and just over time Midas and Sylvia grew up together, settled down together, ruled together and ended up coming back to each other.

The day he left is the exact time when Sylvia fell into a low

Although years had passed the pale pearly mare never realized it until the moment when Midas laid next to her and she finally felt what she had longed for all this time. He had awakened something deep inside her allowing it to break free from the chains. The feeling was so far beyond exhilarating that she simply could not put it into words for she wasn’t entirely sure how to feel it now. Her auditives flicked forward listening to his concern and request. Stepping forward Sylvia breathed out in relief knowing he had stopped and wasn’t going anywhere. Her own blue eyes were comprised by tears and pouring rain as she wrapped her neck around him giving him lee-way to still lip at her nape. Beginning at his shoulders Sylvia slowly groomed up his neck working through his damp tendrils that clung to his skin and her muzzle before finally reaching his crown ”you my love are what’s best for me”
She closed her eyes feeling the gust of wind lay another sheet of rain on their bodies

”I will always stand by your side Midas, forever”. There wasn’t anything that could come between them now that he was back and Sylvia was alive again. His suggestion to get out of the rain after joking about standing him for that long gave her a thought. Opening her eyes again she stepped to the side to look at him and touch his nose ”I promise you’re always going to have me by your side” breathing out Sylvia remembered the ridge in pieces. She had roamed every empty place and every island root to tip searching for him. He wanted to find shelter and Sylvia, wanted to run.

And so she grinned and pushed her nose into his again playfully

”I’ll follow you to shelter, right after you capture me!” laughing Sylvia propelled her dainty long legs forward and took off into the darkness calling back to Midas. With the sheet of rain and blackness it was extremely hard to see. She felt herself stumble awkwardly before gaining momentum just as a streak of lightning struck down opening up the sky giving the ridge a moment of glory. The ridge to Midas was dark and far different from the harbor which, it was. Sylvia however thought that despite it’s dark aura it was the new beginning, to their unfinished love story. What a better time them now to have it re-open. This place meant a new fresh start with the one who she had thought she had lost. Everything is what fueled her legs and allowed her adrenaline to kick on as Sylvia opened up and galloped across the Ridge’s valley. With her head held high and damp tendrils swaying behind her, Sylvia smiled and called out again allowing the echo to fill her ears.
