Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

She shivered slightly underneath her long, silky brown locks. It had been a while since she'd been in cold air, but it brought back memories. The image of furious, harsh winds forcing three siblings into a cave on a mountainside. Sail shook the memory from her mind, her short brown pillars making their way up the mountainside. Her blue portals scanned the path ahead of her, expecting to find nothing. Instead, a vixen that couldn't be much younger than herself was up ahead. Her fur seemed almost white but not quiet. Sail was never good with strangers; never had been until she met one named Arlo. Arlo helped her, helped Sail get over her fears. The mud-colored lass didn't really have any trouble coming by a new wolf anymore. Her brothers Anduin and Plixon had always been there for her, had always protected her. After they entered blossom, they... they let Sail go off on their own.

She flicked her ears and stopped at the sight of the stranger. Her body grew tense and rigid, and she felt her hackles rising. Sail, sail, it's alright, if they can't see you they can't hurt you. She felt her body go a little bit looser, but the vixen didn't want to take chances. She glanced to the side of her, seeing a not very steep mountainside that she could easily scale to take another path. She was heading towards a pool that had fresh, clear mountain water. There weren't many scents around the spring so she was sure there weren't any who knew of it's position. Sure, she was taking the long way to the mountain water but it would be worth it. She cupped her paws slightly so her pads would only make a minuscule sound. As she headed up the trail she heard a grunt, one from the wolf she'd spied earlier. Sail peered down slowly, and saw that the vixen was now hanging off an edge. Her mind pondered a moment whether she should help the vixen up, but her silent calls were answered when the wolf hauled herself back up. She ducked back up and continued on her hunt for the pool.

She'd started to worry whether she'd gotten completely off the path when she saw the familiar gap to the cave the spring was in. She sighed in sweet relief, her mouth had been dry the whole way up even though she had a long, refreshing drink yesterday. Sail didn't know why she'd initially come, but when she was halfway up she decided to make her destination here. She looked at her paws as she walked to the cave, sitting at the mouth of it. The vixen lifted up her front paw and looked at it, it was rubbed raw from the stone. As she got up to go get a drink, she heard a voice that was not her own or Arlo's. You have got to be kidding me. Sail jumped back a little, since the vixen startled her so much. It was the one she had laid her eyes on before, the one that fell.

H...hello. What are you doing here? Sail asked a bit awkwardly, not knowing what to say.
