Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

Roar of the Midnight Train { Macartni only }

The roaring midnight train came to a squealing stop, and the engineers came back to open the cars. Before they could reach the one Moni and her parents were in, her parents had jumped off and left her. Moni was to afraid to jump, so she waited for the engineers who she thought would help her. The moon shined through the cracks in the large doors, becoming full as the doors slid open. The engineers cursed at her and lifted her by the scruff, throwing her across a small embankment, yelling and clapping their hands to scare her away. Tucking her ebony tail, she took off through the forest, eventually ending up at Rainbow Cliff.

Lungs heaving in and out, Moni panted from her long run to the cliffs. It was dark outside, and the moon had become her last source of light. To some she may appear as a shadow slipping across the stones, in a crouch like position this is how her black fur made her appear. Her green eyes are the only thing that set her appart from the blackness, shining like emeralds in the moonlight. The sudden clicking of claws made her run, where she slid over a five foot cliff. Landing with a hard thud, she grumbled a little before standing up, and slinking back into the mountain cast shadows at the back of the ledge she was on.

Letting out a few soft whines, she layed down, and curled up into a ball where she began to fall asleep. The roar of the midnight train that rang in her head hummed her to sleep, where she continued to dream about what had just happened.

“Give me hope,” she whispers
