News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

By all means, Niviaq was both a home body and yet, a diligent worker bee. She moved about constantly it seemed, finding little time to rest and yet, it seemed most of her activity somehow centralized around Spirane. Perhaps there should have been some kind of warning given to the poor boy in that regard - it would be unlikely to find her at home, or anywhere that meant her coming to a stand still. At least he did not have to wait long, no? Despite her constant activity, she had seldom ever been late. Punctuality was one of the most important parts of being a healer, after all.

First thing was first: he had to be made to feel as if he were at home. The den of a healer, beginners or veteran, were safety houses for all those in need. She did not discriminate, and he would fast learn that all living things very rapidly became part of her family. Him included.

The moment he bowed his head and spoke, her tail began to once more wave in exuberance - he was polite! If there were any faster way into Niviaq's heart, then he'd certainly found it. That had always been why Faol'an had made such an impact on her, and why Pan had confused her to no avail. Nonetheless, his politeness instantly had her nervousness dissipated, replaced with a cheer that seemed to once more set her into motion. With a flick of her tail, she hurried towards the mouth of the den, lips curled back into a broad grin.

"We have only one rule here, Meryl, and that is that you must never think you are a bother. As for a foreigner, you are wrong - we are all of the same, are we not? Our packs are allies and so are we."

She winked playfully once more before excusing herself with a small bow; she then slipped into the den, taking but a moment before she reemerged with several trinkets grasped. She sat then, dropping them by her paws; a feather, an ocean stone covered in the white dust of salt and a single stick of Balsam fir leaves. She eyed them for a moment, frowning over her own thoughts; the fir was looking a little shabby, its needle-esque leaves having begun to shed. It had been a piece collected some time ago, and yet she had not yet thought to collect more come spring. Foolish, yes, but it would work for the lesson nonetheless.

"I can teach you of the mountain's gifts, such as this fir, yes. However, there is more that I can teach you if you so desire."

She paused, raising a brow almost expectantly as another smile crept up her features. Surely the question would be answered in one way - of course! How could one not want to learn more than what they had been insisted to learn? Niviaq was not a wolf of the mountain, after all. Despite it all, she would always be a wolf of the sands and salt, a wolf of Litherum. After a moment, she tilted her head, examining the boy once again. Polite, punctual, well spoken for. He'd be a good healer if he were not already.

"What do you know of the ocean, Meryl?"

She inquired softly, bowing down and nosing towards the salted stone and gull feather, hoping she could bring him something new, something he could not learn from another (or so she liked to believe.)
