I lean against my brother feeling the warmth of his body against my own. A sign that I am living, that he is living. Together we will be warm tonight while he waits for the sun to rise. I am still confused by his quest, I wonder why we are here in the cold rather than in the warmth of the den we share with our mother or father. We could do that then come back before the sun rises in the morning it would be much easier than sitting out here staring at the water and sky all night. A cold breeze takes me then and a shiver and press against him more burying myself into his fluffy ebony pelt. My own silvery form was vanishing into his much larger size. He held me in and I felt a bit better. Our physical closeness was lieke nothing else. We were all parts of each other in a way and I know no one in the world will understand me like Judas and Praetor do. I do not linger about my sisters, I am perfectly happy being just in the presence of my brothers. They don’t interact with me much anyway, which is fine. They are older and have their own business that they want to do. I only ever seen Maradona and Cersei around though, I don’t think I have ever spotted my sister Octavia once, I don’t even know if she really exists. For how do you know if something exists if you never see it? I push the thought from my mind, choosing not to dwell on it any longer. I hear my brother speak to me again, asking me my opinion of what the son does during the night. It is a curious question one I have pondered a few times. I have my own answers but my brother’s opinion intrigues me too. I ponder his own opinion what the sun does when night takes over. Holds its’s breath? Well I have seen the sun disappear in other places and it was on the land. I wonder about this it doesn’t always sink beneath the ocean. I shake my head slightly disagreeing with him then pressing my face into his fur resting against him. ”I think it is simply sleeping. Resting for the next day for when it has to welcome us once more. For we sleep in many places but one if we desire too. If I got to other parts of the land I do not see it sink into the ocean as we do here. It is just resting as we do, brother. It sleeps the night away while its partner the moon watches over us at night.” I say a lot but it is all true. It is my opinion though, and my brother is welcome to disagree, I value his opinion I know he is not a fool like some wolves were. I had no need to make a mot towards him, I knew he was considering everything and even if I thought it was strange. Both my brother were intelligent creatures, I knew better than to simply disregard their thoughts. |
