At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

wolf

The vixen dug at the rock, jumping up and down to get in. She had just snarled at the femme beside her, but now joy was working her way into her muscles. Ugg, Macartni hated it when exercise brought out her nice. The girl usually was very mean, cold to the heart and not really caring about anything. She would not be a pack wolf ever in her life; there was so many times where she would have to sacrifice herself for something she didn’t really feel fit for. The only saving she would do was for herself. Whatever. Maybe she could do something for her friends. It was a very long time before she got through the sand at her feet, a small hole showing through the gap between the boulder and...the wall of a huge cliff. Her pace was slowing, but yet it was also getting more efficient. Lady had started to help the girl with her troubles, and the nice inside Macartni was starting to leak onto her face. But, her face was full of sand, so she didn’t stop the emotions. Within another minute, the vixen slipped through the hole and into the small area, a giant gleam on her face. There was a small pool of water near the edge of the clearing, and wide open areas of sand for wolves to sit and chat about going-ons. It was perfect! There could even be an area with an opportunity of a hole...of a den. Could this be her new home?

She turned back towards Lady, a smile and words leaking out before she could stop them. But, she stopped before she could finish her sentence, her joy still plain on her face, but a scowl masking the words she just about gave away. The vixen shook her pelt, embracing her natural stance and sarcasm once more, feeling a bit of protectiveness to the open area. This was her place now. Surely not a wolf like her would like to live on the edge of a beach in this area. Plus, due to the fact that the area around the small hole was turning to dirt and not sand, there was only room for one den, and Macartni was not willing to share in the slightest. If she wanted to live in this place, which the vixen hoped she didn’t, she could sleep outside. “You’re welcome. I do. It’s a neat place. I..I’ve never done anything like this before. These things usually seem so foolish to me. Digging around in the dirt, getting dirty, like a simple pup would do.” Macartni was taken aback. She really did not think she was foolish, that everything anybody other than her did was like that. Or at least, that was what she thought before coming into Blossom.

It became apparent to Macartni that this wolf might not really know how to live a life. Well, a ‘common life’ probably how she would put it. This made the vixen question the heritage of the girl in front of her amber gaze. “Now, I usually don’t do this...” As the girl said this, she looked over towards the small pool of water and thrust her paw into the chilling liquid, remembrance of the swim out into the lake she took a few minutes ago not becoming more apparent, sending a chill down her spine. “But, here you go. I truly don’t know what has gotten into me.” Irritating pricked the back of her auds, a flicker of a seagull’s squawk traveling to down into her eardrums. The vixen sat her rear on the ground, looking at the girl with something about two steps above dislike. “You were royalty at one point in your life, weren’t you?” Reality was racing through her head, the sky clouding at the potential brisk of a cold wind.
