aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Trying to Forget the Past, This Was Never Meant to Last

________________________________________________________________________

Rain pelted down on the skinny black femme’s bodice. She did not care. The cold weather did not bother her anymore and the rain felt like nothing on her broken heart. She felt nothing anymore, there was no more hope left inside her, she had given up. The midnight ess did not know the last time she ate, and she did not care. Her once bright yellow orbs were dull and lifeless. Her once powerful and muscular bodice was scrawny and thin. Her usually sleek and shiny pelt was dull and unkempt, tangles scattered throughout as she had not been taking care of her fur at all. All these things seemed pointless when he was gone. She had no life without him, no purpose.

The rain continued to pour down on her already soaked fur, normally it would make her cold and shiver, but she did not react to anything anymore. Chenzii always seemed to be tired now, even though all she did was sleep. She sighed, tail limp and ears back. She had no idea why she left her den, there had been no point. She decided to just head back. The femme had recently made a new den, one that was barely big enough to fit her own body in nevermind a second. She couldn’t stand to stay in the den where her and Chiron had shared so many nights together, there was too much sadness there. Comfort was not something that concerned the ess anymore so she had dug out a hole that could only barely fit her. Her paws went back the way she had come, back towards her hole.

When she reached her “home” she crawled in, squeezing through the tight hole that she had made, dirt clinging to her pelt, forming mud on her soaking wet pelt. The black femme curled into a ball, no threat of tears flowing from her dull orbs this time. She had shed all the tears that she had, now there was just nothing.

The wind began to blow, bringing scents into her small den, scents that she usually ignored. Suddenly one scent caught her attention. Could it be? Was it him? She lifted her nose, inhaling sharply, yes it was him. She bounded out of the den, running into the rain before she froze. Her mind must be playing tricks on her again. This was not the first time that she had imagined him, making her hear his voice, smell his aroma, feel his pelt against hers. It was moments like these that broke her even more. The tears that she had thought had all been spilled started to come again. The ess let out a wail, screaming her heartache into the night, before she headed back to her hole. She did not want anyone to see her like this, she did not want to see anyone ever again. Tears spilled freely from her lifeless orbs.

Chenzii began to hear whispers now. Her name, it was always her name, whispered in the wind. Chiron was calling her, or so she thought. It had to be a trick, there was no way that he was back. She had no idea what had made him leave her, what she had done to upset him, but if he had been gone for this long she didn’t know how he would ever come back. She could hear the pawsteps of an approaching wolf, and she began to turn away, not wanting to interact with anyone, when the scent became stronger, stronger than she had ever experienced since he had left. The whispers became louder and Chenzii’s ears pricked at the sound, could it really be him? The black ess turned silently towards the sound, looking through the trees to see the form of her one and only love. He was here, he was really back; he had come back for her.

Within seconds of realizing that it was really him and not a trick of her mind again she leapt out of the trees, tears of joy streaming down her face this time rather than sorrow. She bounded into him, needed to feel him, to smell him, to know that he was real. The ebony ess toppled into her mate, her bodice touching every inch of him, bathing in his sweet aroma. After circling around him she ended with her head pressed into his, opening her maw to lick his muzzle multiple times, not able to hold back her affection after his absence. Her breathing was sharp and ragged, her heart pounding within her chest. ”You came back. You came back.” Her words were barely whispered, afraid to speak them aloud and discover that it was not real.

OOC: OMG MUSE BURST XD I’m so happy you’re back <333
