The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Scarlet and ivory flashed through the shadows, her lady was never one to hurry good things, as they take their good time, but she was in a mood and desired to check out the western border, the freshly formed swamp, with its musky, damp smell of almost death- it appealed to her. Over sharp fangs produced themselves in a grin as she spotted the two brujo’s, Grey Wind seemed to be enjoying his new position, although she was pleased to see he reminded the newcomer that submitting was for his alphas, not him. Scarlet pushed through the brush and was to them in an instant, without pausing for breath, her sweeter than honey voice produced itself into the air, misting as she spoke.

Don’t bother getting up. I’m here now.

Her jaw hung over his throat and a bemused little smile danced across her features. Without glancing at Grey Wind, she spoke up.

Well now, it isn’t every day a wolf throws himself at my feet and tell me to do whatever I want…..go on, tell me your name and why you’ve come here.

Her sarcastic tone was high, but light, as if she were enjoying this trickery and mocking the new guy. Her dark amber eyes canvassed his frame, he seemed to have potential, but was that enough. Scarlet was dubious, but willing to allow him a chance. After he answered her, she smiled again, a poisonous feature of hers that had killed more vargs than she could count. Still, she was no medusa.

I’m going to allow you a chance. You had better prove my instincts right.

She turned to Grey Wind and winked saucily at him. A smile was flashed. Good job, honey.

Captain, lead our new soul here to Marx and tell him he’s to assess his potential and then test him thoroughly.

She turned, padding a few steps away, only to look over her shoulder and study them both a few seconds before disappearing at top speed.
