Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I heard the news that Tesseract has left for Iromar to strike up another alliance. I will admit to soe disappointment that I wasn't asked along but I'll try my best not to show it. I don't want to seem ungrateful for the chances he's already given me. I wish him luck in the foggy pack. I hear there are some pretty creepy wolves that live there so maybe its a good thing that I didn't go along. Of course, I'd never admit to being scared. Psh, what kind of male does? I can be big and brave! Even if I'm not so strong. I'm strong enough but I've got more of my mother's wiry figure than my father's brawn. I got the brains from both though, I'm pretty sure.

I don't see many other wolves my age around Glorall but I know they're there...somewhere. Didn't Caligula say at the meeting that she has more than one kid? I've met Octavia but what about the others? Should I go looking for them? I grow excited at the idea, my tail waving to and fro as I take off at a dead sprint. But where to go? What if I run right by them? Surely I'll smell them! I twitch my nose, as if trying to amplify my abilities. I know there's been one unfamiliar scent around the borders as of late. I know the scents of Caligula and Tesseract so I know its not them, though the smell is similar. Perhaps a realtive, a son or daughter! My ears flicker alertly as if just thinking about it will make them just appear. Apparently that's not the way though cause no one appears in my vision. I scowl momentarily before wiping the expression from my features. I'll just keep looking!

I haven't had anyone to hang out with much since coming back from Spirane. I used to follow around my sister Viora a lot but she hasn't been around a lot lately. I think she's been traveling out of Glorall but whose going to tell her not to? I've tried countless times but you see how much she listens to me. Mother's been trying to get more involved in the pack and she wants us to gain our own independence so she's been giving us both more space, nudging us out into the world more. I miss her wisdom but I know where to find her anytime I need it. I learned from Viora how to track and a little bit about hunting. I've stalked her a lot in her travels but she always seems to catch me.

I don't notice the young girl who notices me running by. I didn't even smell her, perish the thought! But she must have seen me because suddenly I feel a breeze and something hard and fast hits me in the side, toppling me to the ground. A loud "Umph!" noise leaks from my lips as I roll in the long grass before finally coming to a halt. I land on my back, my long legs tangling in the air as I try to get my bearings. MY ears flick back as I roll back over hastily and jump to my feet, shaking out my coat the best I can as my yellow and light blue eyes set on the girl who just tackled me. It takes me a minute to figure out what just happened but when it does, my eyes widen and my lips part in shock.

"Hey, you....what'd you do that for? Couldn't you have just asked me to stop? It's not like I don't have that ability, you know. By the way, I'm Tristan. Who are you?"

My eyes brighten at the prospect of making a new friend. I think I can forgive her a dirty coat just this once if she'll at least hang out with me for the rest of the afternoon. It's the least she can do.
