aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

After his howl of pain is released, the fae by the water’s edge hunkeres to the earth, her pinnae flattened against her skull. She stood quickly, her strangely orange orbs attempting to search out his form. Finally, they settled upon him and her voice called out to him. Hello? Oh please let me see you, dear stranger. Her vocals were released with laughter, no hint of a threat in her words. Before he could respond, another fae approached, her countenance wary, and she approached the first femme, lowering her haunches to the earth. She spoke silent words to the fae, addressing her as ‘Leila’, vocals kind and her kissers turned upward into a smile before her suns turned to face upon him, peering through the snowstorm. As she peered at him, the first fae responded in kind, but soon after more vocals escaped. My name is Chenzii, and you are? What business do you have with this pack? Her voice was edged but Aindreas remained silent, no more of his previous screams erupting from his maw, his face covered in a stoic façade. Slowly his limbs brought his tall frame toward the pair of femmes until he stood before them, his arctics gazing down upon them.

Um, well I hate to impose on your personal life but I couldn’t help but hear the sound you… made. I hope you are not too troubled sir. Aindreas laid his eyes upon her, the smallest of shrugs visible above the rise of his shoulder blades. The fae who questioned him nodded and continued talking. I must admit I mistook you for another brute at first. Your eyes are very similar. Freezing for the briefest of moments as he thought of his family’s strange connection, he suddenly let loose an awkward chuckle, half of his face softening into an uneven smirk. “I assume you mean my father?” His vocals are gruff and rough from disuse, but deep… a low baritone just like his father’s. Deliberately, he lowered his haunches to land upon the snow, his plume curling around his paws. His icy blues shift from one fae to another, the smirk fading and his face returning to its previous emotionless gaze. In polite appropriateness, he answers the questions of the two lupines in as short of words as possible. “I am Aindreas and I have free reign of these lands per my father’s deeming.” He looked to one fae and then to another. “Leila. Chenzii.” He uttered each of their names slowly, carefully tonguing each letter as if they were precious jewels.

He dipped backward into a low bow with his orbs averted, his manners impeccable. “It is my pleasure to make each of your acquaintances.” Rising, once more his haunches laid to the earth. He was silent and still as he so often was, awaiting their responses, resisting the urge to turn away. The sight of any fae hurt him so much as it reminded him so strongly of the absence of Genisys. It seemed she had disappeared and would never return. It felt as his heart was torn to pieces. If it still existed at all.
