At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

No – it is impossible for me to live without you now, that it is. The femme froze once more, though this time it was due to happiness. She smiled silently down at him and she felt her heart begin to race. Her mind tried to rationalize what he had said, at first thinking that perhaps she had misheard him. But no, each word had been slow, crisp, and clear. Had he meant exactly what he said, or had he some ulterior meaning for that one simple sentence? Slowly, he slid away from her, the absence of his cranium beneath her chin leaving a chill. He turned back to face her, the smile that was so commonly placed upon his maw finally returned. I exist only for you, miss Kahlan. You, who has faith in me despite the things I have spoken… A flutter went through her heart, and it was right then and there she finally realized exactly how it was that her brother felt about Channing. His gaze upon her warmed her body, his words made her head spin. Butterflies within her stomach made her feel light, but the emotions that laid unsaid within her made her heavy. Suddenly, her position on the cold silt felt lonely and empty though the brute stood but a few feet away. His smile faded as she mentioned her own past, but just as quickly as it faded, it returned. If it is not too troublesome for you – a friend would be nice, that it would. As surely as any love struck fae would do – assumed that he was talking about her. About them. When he spoke of trouble, naturally Kahlan thought he meant simply that he wanted to take things slow. To get to know her first before it progressed to anything more… though at this point the only thing she could thing of was living together with him forever. A smile grew upon her kissers that reached the corners of her eyes. Slowly, she nodded. “Yes, of course, Kenshin.” She simply gazed at him for a few brief moments before gesturing behind her. “I… I have to back to Saw Tooth. The little ones probably miss me. But… do you want to come?” Shyly, she looked back at him, brows raised, questioning, pleading him to say yes. Truly, she hoped he said yes. Finally she had a place to call home. Her brother was happy and healthy and finally had some pleasant memories of family. Kahlan had friends and was appreciated. All that was missing was the completion of her own heart… a love life of her own. But if she was lucky, perhaps she would amend that. Perhaps Kensin could be her happily ever after. She waited for his response before turning to head back toward Saw Tooth OOC – sorry for the crappy post, I just didn’t want to send them to ST before he said yes (or no) so have your next post at ST. it will be easier lol |
