Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.
The vixen almost turned and left, but something was pulling her back. It was strange that a pup, almost a teen, would just disappear in the darkness and without a trace. Macartni rolled her eyes, trying to convince herself that it was for her better good; she would regret it if she went back to her den without wanting to see the mysterious vanishing and never live to tell the tale. Yep, that pretty much did it. The maiden folded her body over to the rock that was hiding the pup from the rest of the world, but saw nothing. Did the vixen vanish out of thin air? Of course she didn’t; those things only happened at Sacred Stones or Misty Mountain. Why should such a thing occur out here at a cliff known to be wonderful and beautious? Flickering her ears, Macartni heard heavy breathing and a gasp, and almost a cry for help. Her fiery orbs peered over the sheer cliff, her eyes adjusting to the darkness as she stared into the huge gap. And what was there? The black pup that pulled her out of a trance not a moment before. Now, the normal non-tired Macartni would just turn away and saunter someplace where she could get the feya out of trouble and back to her midnight walk, but the fall the wolf had taken had caught her by surprise as well. She turned her cream head around, looking for an area where she could come and rescue the pup. But what she could see down there only lead to the fact that she had only landed on the smallest ledge possible, which, thank Fenris, was a blessing. Nothing was out of the ordinary, except a small clearing where she could slide down. That would have to do, if it could at all. Macartni bounded into a run towards the edge, putting her dark brown rump through the gap first. Within ten seconds, she landed at the bottom of the ledge. Across and to the front of her layed the black female. She made eye-contact, slipping out words that were relaxed and ordering. “Now, you have to jump over here; the ledge and cliff face are too steep to climb. This is the only way to go. Don’t worry, I will catch you. Please, just jump.” She almost added that she needed to get back to her walk, but that would not be very polite, smart even. She waited calmly, parting her jaws in case she would need to grasp the vixen before she fell to her death, if she even jumped the ledge at all. She would have to be fast; such small rock could not hold her for very long. |
