Just got a chance to listen to the recording of the Board meeting last Wednesday.
Was rather lengthy but very informative.
The Committee #2 Chairman Trustee Gray deferred to Trustee Bogush to give the committee report.
All the present Professionals were voted to be retained in one vote, except Buck Consultants. There was much discussion on Buck Consultants and the suggestion of Committee Chairman Trustee Gray to put out a RFI to see if there were any other firms the Board might want to hire. Mr. Linker of our Accounting firm explained that the lowering of the assumption rate DID NOT affect the paying or not paying of a 13th check as suggested by Trustee Gray , in Committee meeting , that he was the Chairman. Also the Plan Attorney Mr. Klausner, explained that the law suits against Buck Consultants, were not in the Atlanta Office and Mr. Joe Griffin was not involved in those cases, as was suggested. The Board voted to continue using Buck Consultants.
Retiree Joe Moscato and his Attorney asked the Board to cease deducting money from his Pension and sending it to his exwife. After much discussion the Board voted to receive and file . Retiree Moscato will now have to pursue Legal remedy thru the Court.
Another item of interest was, the Plan Attorney Mr. Klausner stated that the Judge in the Artz Law Suit imposed a $15,000.00 penalty on the Artz Appelants.
The Election of Board members was held last and Fire Trustee Mark Bogush was elected Chairman. Trustee Griner was elected Vice Chairman and Trustee Lattimore was elected Secretary.
A big thanks goes to Retiree Gene Wrenn for lobbing the Trustees for the support of Trustee Bogush to be Chairman.
