Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

May The Better Species Win

Why would he have seen her come? She had moved at the right time, when his attention had been entirely fixated on those furry morsels of flesh. He did not even have time to leap back nor change his mode of attack when she darted forward, hindering him from the flesh of the starved male he so desired. With a snarl, the cat continued to go for blood, changing his attention immediately to the dark girl as he felt his claws make contact - delightful! Even with her knocking him aside, his claws kept going, slicing into the flesh of her face with a vicious tenacity.

Of course, he had expected the attack even less, her teeth fastening around his muscular neck. Another yowl escaped his jaws as he slashed onward, both paws intending to grab her by the face, ripping and slashing away at the tender meat. It seemed to work, and with a satisfied hiss, he pushed the dark female off and away, his neck an oozing mess of blood, hers and his own. He had not planned for three, however, and with a hiss, he lashed out at the dark female before turning his attention to the younger male who had begun to growl. Growl at him!? Not today! Nobody threatened him! With a bound, he lunged forward, his paw once more swiping out towards the male in hopes of clipping him across the face.

It is then that the pesky wolves begin to swirl and swarm about, the old man barking and howling but he is a fool! He lunges for the cougar's leg and he twists around to meet the male, claws and teeth lashing out lamely to ward him away. He knows of his own weakness and he had no intentions on letting them get to it - the old man had become his target. With the female undoubtedly torn to shreds, and the starved male hardly a concern, it was the male that had dared go for his leg that he focused on.

His breath had already begun to run ragged, the bites over his neck causing red hot pain to radiate from them but survival and success were always more important. He could deal with pain later - for now, he was content leaping after the older male, paws swooping out in an effort to grab his back legs and trip him up like prey.

STATE OF PREDATOR:
Tick Tock has caused some pretty significant damage over his neck but he is still intent on claiming at least one of the wolves. If they play their cards right, however, he won't be able to last too long before his leg gives way or he is well and truly warded off by his wounds.
