Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Rogue gazed at her friend her as she stuck her tongue out at her in quite the bratty spoiled angel fashion. Well she guessed it was enevidable that some of their attitude rubbed off on her. Must be that dammed white ear of her that caused it. The only white on her otherwise perfectly beautiful dark pelted form, she knew white tainted the soul somehow. Oh well she would deal with it, for it was her personality not her pelt color, though it helped, that she had seemingly attached herself to this not angel-angel.

Her paw tapped her muzzle and Rogue of course responded with a roughly playful snap at it. The demon way, nothing is ever gentle or nice, not if you wanted to survive. Rogue was the only surviving child from her litter and Andras his and for good reasons from where they were from. She didn’t know how to be, she was used to biting hard and being bitten back as hard or harder than she had. It was gentle for her those angels didn’t know how to learn properly and if it was something Rogue thought she taught her parasites right was how to be play rough, but fair. Or dirty. Depended on the day. That was one thing about raising her boys that she did like. They soaked in information and skills like dry moss did with water. It was amazing what they could learn, how resourceful they could be under the right pressure.

Both Alphonse and Magnus were good students, it was simply that Magnus seemed to be weak of mind, unable to comprehend hurting someone or killing them. Too… good. In hell she knew he would have never survived, Alphose well at least he seemed capable, but it didn’t explain his lack of scent over the lands while weakling Magnus was still painfully close. Hadn’t nature culled him on its own yet? It was what she expected but maybe he was more worthy than she had initially thought, maybe that other him made his survival possible. He didn’t matter though, THEY didn’t matter. The useless things were part of him who Rogue hated so strongly. She would be content to honestly never see any of her spawn ever again.

”Well there is that at least, cause we all know we have to be clean to be good at surviving.” She said with a roll of her eyes. She certainly didn’t smell as clean as her skills were telling though. Truthfully it smelled as though Malina was stagnant sitting in the same place to long. The scent of her den strong on her fur. Clearly she had been hiding out waiting for something to happen, with her terrible imprint or otherwise.

At least she was good humored about it all though. She lowered her head sleeking her fur back for a moment only to have it puff right back up. Not that Rogue cared what her fur looked like she was fine the way she was. Even if she was covered in mud Rogue would still think she was… fine. Fine yes that was a good word for it. Malina was special, whatever she did though Rogue thought she did it well and with skill that no other could. Drew her eye as she watched her walk and move. Something simply had been eye catching about her and Rogue knew why it was just strange to believe it was possible.

The deep cinnamon hooded fem arched a brow at her a smirk on maw. Cause Mal was one to simply turn her in. She was with a demon for peats sake she wasn’t going to simply just turn her in now. Rogue busted out laughing though after her pause and wink stating that she wouldn’t mind doing some skinning either. ”Oh I am sure it’s great fun! Must be a new hobby of mine and soon! I got a few wolves on my shit list I wouldn’t mind taking care of myself. I’m certain more than one of them line up with a couple on your own. Doing this together… well it sounds absolutely amazing.” The demoness remarked ending her jovial laugh and letting it slowly die out into the surrounding area.

The shift in atmosphere was palpable. She could see Malina’s nerves as her own confessions on her wishing she would stay here with her rather than going back to be put through dealing with… well all of them. She agreed though the smelling like fish thing Rogue didn’t entirely agree with she would love it more than anything for them to be together in a den again, just like when she had the pups.

When Rogue though finally said it finally admitted everything she felt a moment of tension. She didn’t like waiting, not knowing. She thought maybe that Malina would regect her feelings with how long the pause was and how she looked down, claws flexing in the dirt, ears pinned back all signs of discomfort. She had known this would happen, she just hoped now that maybe she was able to look past Rogue’s feelings and things could just return to how they were.

Her nervous start to her reply didn’t bode well. Rogue pulled away feeling the moment had passed knowing she had messed up, but she stumbled along and then she said it! She said it! Rogue’s eyes widened unable to believe that she again found her worthy enough to seek out and feel for. It was more than almost anyone ever offered her in her life, even more than her supposed “soul mate” could offer her.

”You do love me?” She said just wanting to be sure. The black fem before her sounded so unsure of herself but the sheepish smile was more than enough to give it away to her. She loved her back, she did and so Rogue feeling a little daring then couldn’t help but continue.

”So does that mean we can be mates?” She asked a little nervously, ”I- I never heard of you know… someone like us being mates but we could make it work, right? We don’t need bunches of parasites running around like you know others do. But if you do want them I guess I could tolerate it.” The sarcastic normal snarky Rogue came out in her last sentences, but it was all genuine. She never felt so pathetic she wasn’t sure how to ask she never had to do this. It was a man’s job but their relationship was indeed a unique one this was quite the untraditional match but Rogue, well she knew there was no other in the world that she would deem worthy to keep her heart safe.
