Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

It didn’t matter to her just what Ayal had said. All she knew was that she was a spoiled pup and she must be surrounded by vile wolves. These Angels as they called themselves. Clearly this was not a moniker for them to continue using. In her many travels Angels were benevolent, but there were times they had to attack, the stories spoke of winged creatures that were kind and humble. These particular Angels sounded mostly like their opposite, Demons. She was starting to think that these lands were just too much for her. None of the loners followed the customs. They were to be alone, stay alone, and travel alone. The idea that pack wolves were trespassing in no man’s lands, taking their food, wandering in what was supposed to be the ‘wild.’ A wandering rough spirit she could feel herself growing softer and softer in these strange lands. That cold rough exterior was being rubbed away and she didn’t like it. Without that cold shell, without it cloaking tightly to her, she felt weak and vulnerable and that was something she could not stand.

“What makes me look like an Angel? I am far being such a mythical creature that stands for good. As for this Diveen place, I hope to never go there and I hope to never meet another Angel. They don’t sound like a pack that I would want to associate myself with.”

A disgusted snort left her scarred nostrils as she laid her head back over her paws. Sapphire eyes shone brightly underneath the silver rays of the moon. Her tattered left ear flicked back and forth as she gave an exhausted sigh. She was rather tired. She had been moving about all day and she was finally feeling her energy being zapped out of her. She could actually feel his warmth start to spread over her and for a moment she rather enjoyed it, especially on a chilly night. Yet she was not used to luxury or spending this much amount of time with another. It was best if she left him here and went off someone else. But she was so tired and she was comfortable lying here with her paws dangling over the edge. Her ebony tail continued to sway side to side as a soft sigh escaped her scarred muzzle. She growled softly lifting her head, shaking it, truly believing that a pack wasn’t a good thing at all.

“I don’t think I could function too well in a pack. Company is fine…I guess, but it is best not to stick around too long. Trust, it is hard to give, but even harder to receive. No one’s ever wanted me around in all my years of living so why change that?”

Steal cold tone was followed by a low growl as she settled her head back between her paws. She firmly believed that it was not right for a wolf to take orders from others. It just didn’t make any sense. Why she should place her trust in others that were not of blood, in someone that only claimed to be some sort of Alpha because of…laws. If there was one law to follow it was survival and all her life she knew it was better to be alone than be around others. Nothing good ever came to being involved with a pack. She was once, as a pup with her parents, a part of a pack. Yet the way her family treated her it tainted any positive hope or belief that wolves that stayed together did well together. She had seen the attacks, pack against pack, the way they destroyed the very land they owned and all for what- greed and power? Despicable really. At least when she was greedy, and when she wanted power, she did it out of need of survival not pride.
