During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

“Talk not to me of blasphemy, man; I'd strike the sun if it insulted me!”

Serris had been delighted to find that, a few days back, the scent of Devil’s Angel once again adorned Munashii’s territory. The regal had been beginning to think that the girl had abandoned them after receiving her title. Serris had wanted to go meet with her to see how her wounds were progressing, but then his own battle and a meeting with Aindreas delayed the process until weeks had gone by and he still had not acted on his decision.

Currently, the dark brute was out on one of his runs, a sort of rehabilitation for his injuries. Everything was closing up nicely, the pure waters of the mountains and his own dedication to thank. The stripes on his cheek were nothing more than pink scars now, the scabs completely gone. Whether fresh fur would grow over the location was yet to be determined, but Serris didn’t care much either way. The wound upon his shoulder was much the same way, with only a few crusted areas still remaining. His stomach, the worst of all wounds, was still quite red and hard, was progressing as well as that kind of deep wound could. The important thing was that he had won his first challenge and he could walk tall through the pack once again.

Serris had his hind lifted along the base of a border tree was the scents entered his nares. Two newcomers, eh? The last time a pair of wolves showed up at his borders it didn’t end too well, for himself OR Aindreas. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t skeptical, but he quickly finished his marking and set off at a slow trot, his injured flesh still gifting him with a slight limp. He was almost to the duo when Devil’s Angel’s perfume mixed with the others, making a sly smile slide across his ebony kissers. Good to see her out, and good to have an even number of both sides of the border. Not that he couldn’t take to wolves at once. A snicker left his lips and his banner flicked pompously behind him. Yes, Serris was feeling on top of the world today, that was for sure.

It only took a glance for Serris to figure out these two were a couple. The loving gazes, the lingering touches, the desire in their meeting pupils; all of it made the King roll his own spheres in the cheesiness of it all. The girl was much like fallen snow with an odd stain upon her crown. The boy looked as if he had just jousted a bear, with patches of red dying his midnight fur. A fitting couple to be sure. He entered the meeting without pause, heading straight for the form he knew the best. He placed his own touch upon Devil’s Angel, shoulder meeting rib in a hearty greeting before pulling away to inspect her silhouette. He waited for her to finish her questioning before placing a quiet comment into her auds. “Good to see you well, my dear.” The statement was earnest, but Serris did not linger, but the next second he pulled away and stood a comfortable distance from all those present. It was in this span of time that Serris took the liberty of analyzing the scents the lovers held, and what he found was quite interesting.

First, the bitch was pregnant. Most likely. The blackened regal couldn’t tell for sure, but the hormones in her stench and the tightness of her belly led to him to believe so. And afterall, Serris had always been a sharp one when it came to things like this. The funniest part, though, was the fact that the brute did not know. Concern flashed through his oceans, but not the fatherly kind. No use in spoiling the fun, so he’d leave him ignorant for the time being. The second secret he divined was the fact that the two had once resided in Malignant. The lust in their scents hid it well, and they had travelled some before choosing to make an appearance there, but the mark of one’s pack was a hard thing to erase. Aqua portals narrowed slightly, wondering if these two were sent as spies. Well, no use in wondering. Without waiting for an answer to Devil’s question, Serris posed his own, an almost jovial tone escaping from his maw. “Do you come seeking refuge or information, children of Malignant?” At the word refuge, the King shot a quick glance to the vixen, poking a bit of fun at her predicament. However, his question posed, he sat back easily on his haunches and waiting for whatever answer they chose to give.
