PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

there's a little girl waiting in a garden

Don't blink! Don't even blink

Satitba felt a little uncomfortable under that eye that kept sweeping towards her rear. Had she offended someone by wearing those spots? She’d always assumed she’d gotten them from her dad — after all her mother was made of liquid gold with only socks to decorate her hide. Satitba had been gifted with those stupid spots and a coat of moonlight. She shifted her weight and tried to hide the fact that she felt she was, well, a little too odd looking.

She returned her focus back to something she did well: Conversation. She nodded, and smiled back at the mare before her. The mare who seemed to be stumbling over her name. Satitba laughed.

“’Sall rahgh’,” She said with ease. “Ah dunno what mah ma wus dinkin’ when she’ named meh. Dun dink she’ could pronounce it rahght.” She laughed a bit at that. Satitba had always assumed that Dia had named her for a reason, and perhaps her name had meaning, but she had yet to decipher it. “An’ yah, not ta maneh ‘round des pards talk lahke meh.” it had become quite clear to her that she was the odd one. That the people around here spoke very differently.

The Peak… a place for mares? That was something new. Satitba flicked her ears forward. She had always been taught that mares listen to stallions. Now, while her mother’s teaching had been in love, and Dia had made it quite clear that there were certainly circumstances were staying and listening to the stallion would be worse than leaving, Satitba still felt a little obligated to one day go into herd life.

“Impa,” Satitba tried the word. It was shorter from her lips, but still, she liked it. Rather peppy and sweet. She nodded and giggled as Impa mentioned a little miniature of herself. The idea seemed funny. “I’sa beaui’ful name.” She looked around. “Sa… a place fer mares? Wha’s that mean?”
