The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

All Men Should Keep Their Word, Kings Most of All

The grey brute had been wandering the territory aimlessly, getting bored with nothing to do. He had been doing border patrols, greeting newcomers, calling to his alphas to come and decide the fate of those that tried to join the pack. He was not trying to suck up, he had never been one to do that, but he wanted Ker and Marx to know he was serious about his position, even though he was a newer member of the pack still. If not for anything the interactions had been to ease his boredom. The longer he went without a purpose the more pent up his anger and hidden emotions became. Grey Wind was not one to go crying to others when he had a bad day, but he was used to the many tasks of running a pack to keep him side tracked enough to keep him sane. But having no one as a companion to work with and keep pace with his energy, he didn’t know what to do. The grey titan had been going on pointless hunts, going after smaller prey that he could take down himself, but it was not as satisfying as tearing into the flesh of the larger, more dangerous prey.

Thoughts of a hunt, of the chase, the blood, excited Grey Wind in ways he never thought would get to him. He had not always been a bloodthirsty lupine, but life had drastically changed that. Now he longed to feel blood and flesh under his teeth and paws, to get vengeance on those that had done him and his family wrong. He was not yet at the point where pointless bloodshed was on his list, but he was getting close. Without another in his life to ground him and keep him sane he would soon go into a stage of bloodshed. A growl built up in his throat, filled with anger and regret that had been building up within for months. He needed something, someone to take his energy out on. Thoughts of lust had made his way into his head on top of all the anger within. His meeting with Aerten had first sparked the lust inside him, wanting to feel a female in ways he had never thought of before. His minds were jumbled, going from thoughts of murder and torture to sex and lust in an instant. He was new to these thoughts and didn’t know what to do to get control of them, he needed something to focus on and distract his minds from the thoughts that were swirling within.

It seemed as if that release would come sooner than Grey Wind had anticipated. He heard a howl come from within the pack lands, a call from Marx. The two brutes had discussed having a meeting with the soldiers of Abendrot, especially since Grey Wind was there new co-captain with AutumnLeaf under Marx. Grey Wind instantly turned his stilts to the sound of his superior’s vocals, glad to have a purpose now. He ran through the terra, glad to have an excuse to use his speed instead of pointless sprints through the forests lands. When he approached the clearing that Marx had called from he slowed down, not wanting to look like a fool running pointlessly around. He heard Marx call out to the air “Soldiers! To me!” and the harsh vocals brought a twitch of a smile to Grey Wind’s maw.

The grey brute stepped into the clearing and saw Marx sitting, waiting for the soldiers to come to his commanding call. Grey Wind approached him, sitting down besides the high commander, paying attention to others that would be joining them. He nodded at Marx in greeting, deciding for once to let his lyrics out, ”Hello Marx. How have you been?” His yellow orbs scanned the trees, looking to see who would appear next, hoping the soldiers did not make Marx wait long for their appearance.
