At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Mizuki's nape prickled with an uneasy feeling. A cold wind blew her way, and it wasn't just the wind that chilled her. She lifted herself off her haunches and trotted to a monument of a tree, substantial enough to block any icy breezes... and emotions. She raked her claws through a crook, clearing out the slushy snow to some decently dry dirt. Mizuki nestled herself into the elderly tree's gnarled, protective roots. As her chest lowered to the dirt, a deliciously warm feeling melted her body. A feeling that sunk as her heart dropped again. She couldn't help but to think about that wolf, and his pain. She felt sorrow, and maybe a tinge of anger as her thoughts trailed to her sadistic mother. She clenched her jaw, biting a tear back. It was over now, but Mizuki regretted not having that stability, that one someone that was supposed to love you unconditionally. She didn't want to think about her anymore, this was her new life away from all the hurt. It was nothing now, what mattered was the ones around her and in her life - how they feel. Her last thoughts were of that wolf, and she hoped the best for him... that's all she could do, right? Perhaps he'll find some peace someday as well. She was upset, but her tears exhausted her eyes, closing them so that she can sleep the memories away and wake to a warmer afternoon...
