So Cherish was already getting to know the lagoon thanks to her new friend. She now knew what being a trinket of the lagoon meant and that if she became Soljor's trinket she would need to have his babies. Babies were made when a stallion mounted you, she still remembered her first mounting pretty well, and a stallion doesn't have to like you to get you pregnant. She would still assume they did though. Then there was Alex, her new friend, who loved Felony (who was not her brother) and was having his child. Whew, that was a lot of information to grasp for one day! The bay overo nods and says her 'uh huhs' with every word the mare says up until she mentions Cullen…and his sire. She fidgeted nervously and turned her head to eye her son who was walking around looking bored. He seemed far enough away not to hear their conversation and he defiantly didn't look interested in it.
"Cullen's father? Well, he is…uh…Rade." She says as her eyes dart around. Really it was awkward talking about Rade with others even though not many asked her about it. Thane seemed to know about their relationship already when he took her away, but no one else seemed to care. She was positive Rade cared for her and she was sure he missed her right now as she missed him, but they were related unlike Felony and Alexandria. What would she say if she knew Rade was her brother? Was that so wrong? No one was going to tell her it was! Rade was Rade and he was an amazing brother. She loved Rade just as she loved Cullen and she was blessed to have them. If only he was here right now with her.
She straightened herself up again and looked Alex in the eyes with a smile. There was no time for her to be ashamed of what happened back then and she didn't really understand why she felt ashamed anyway.
