Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

My Grandfather's words had cut me through as thoroughly as if he'd bitten me with his own fang. He had openly admitted, with austerity and without mercy, that he considered me Lowly, tainted... and abomination to his Angelic Line. I had been angry with the angel kingdom for their treatment of wolves whom they deemed impure, particularly those individuals outcasted to the badlands of Diveen.

But to hear it from the very Source, from his very lips... it had torn me apart. He really was as cruel as they had said, and he would discriminate against me, his own Grand-Daughter, simply because I was not wholly Angel. But I knew it was more then that, it had to be... his newest and youngest daughter was not wholly angel either, and yet somehow he decrees that she is my better simply because she came directly from his loins rather then second-hand through one of his direct children. No, I knew the true reason. The Blood of his old enemy coursed in my veins! My Grandfather Lucian, whom I've never even met, and How was I to help that? How can he cast blame upon me for things beyond my control?

I'd had to excuse myself from the mountaintop, in desperate need of space and some alone time before I went ballistic on my elder and created an even bigger scene then the one that had already started. My frustration simmered simmered beneath my skin, burning like a hot coal in my chest, making it tight.

I stalked into the Crags, knowing it was one of the less trafficked realms in Moladian. Already bitters winds swept across the moor-like topography, whispering of the Winter and promising the subzero temperatures to come. Delicate stereols were flattened against the plush nape of my skull, brows furrowed in anguish at my plight, contorting the strange silver/red mark that criss-crossed over my face and swept around the deep pitch of my indigo gaze. I stared hard at the ground as I went, plume lashing from side to side behind me, and the thin sterling dorsal stripe that ran along the slender line of my spine bristling slightly against the wind.

"The Nerve of him! Coming to Our Home, and insulting Our Family! His Family! As if I were nothing to him...." Teeth gnashed and clicked sharply as I ranted to myself; Attempting and failing to make sense of the situation. He had even said it was Only by his Grace that I even breathed.... what was that supposed to mean? That he could have killed me if he wanted to? Had he wanted to?

It seemed meeting my legendary grandfather had only lead to more questions then answers, more disappointment then hope, and I was at a complete loss as to how to process it all.

Suddenly, I'm pulled from my morose thoughts as I hear the sounds of wolven voices, their scents suddenly clogging the delicate lining of my nasal passages and causing my steps to fall short, my head to snap to attention, eyes scanning the landscape before me to find a strangely large gathering of wolves up ahead.

Eyes narrowed suspiciously, even as ears pricked with curiosity. Susil Crags was hardly a pleasant place even in the best of weather, rarely did you happen across another wolf let alone a whole group of them. I wondered at first if it was a hunting party or a warriors raid... but the scents were mixed and matched, all of different packs and backgrounds so I knew that couldn't be it.

Elegant paws proceded with more care now, moving with a guarded, stealthy gait as I circled the group from afar, keeping them within sight, but remaining around their peripheries until I got a better idea of what was going on. I was four years old andf had yet to witness an Imprint Gathering... it was new and strange and I couldn't help but venture closer for a better look.
