The exhilaration felt in the run, the chase, much like those familiar times in the hunt, did not escape her here. Short of her concerns she felt free, lacking the fears that attacked her thoughts in times like these, reminders that at some point she would need to defend herself or simply find food. Being a loner, it was a constant battle, for her at least as she had crossed a few from time to time who liked to be alone. She would never be like that and for this simplest notion she was glad. So running was a comfort though more so the simplicity of running just to run was a blessing here, running with someone else was even better. Binding with their surroundings they seemed attuned and fitted to the scenery as they should have been, she imagined anyone coming across this image of their passing would be simply astounded. Or, perhaps this was just how she would see it, maybe to someone else here it was just another hum drum day in the pack.
His stride quaked the earth beside her and to this she afforded some curious attention to him, though over a few long pauses in her stare on him was averted in some shy gesture. would he find it awkward if she took him in too long? She didn't need to feed him any undue awkwardness, they shared enough between them already, so focused ahead she is suddenly so aware of the surroundings that she finds herself slowing to a gentle lope. The trees gave way here to large rocks and the scent of others that reside within the woods peeled away to his own strong musk, an indicator to his frequent visits here. It was so brilliant to her, so abruptly chilling, that she wanted to take it all in at once but found difficulty in doing so. Light blazed down toward her and forced her to blink it away for a few moments, the pale hues unsuited for sudden changes in intensity. Strolling in she looked up to find him resting perched upon a boulder, panting slightly heavier than herself. Tongue drooped from her jaw and her fullest affirmations spelled in her posture as she simply dropped down right where she stood. She sighed though it was a contented sound, her breath spilling out across the patch of grass beneath her, knowing she wanted to see more but for that instant she was simply enjoying the freedom of the moment once again.
This place...it was worth looking at first. I will say I like it all, but this spot I like the most.
Her words were breathy but only a little, slightly winded but whispering the stamina to run longer if she wanted to.
