Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The Prodigy

He is not used, perhaps, to having someone correct his corrections, the obsidian eyed male allowing his gaze to fall upon the little silvered female once more, frowning slightly as if he is somehow confused by the words she offers, blinking in evident surprise, entirely unaware of social norms in this regard, nor the apparent bite his next words may very well be given to have.

“Of course I know the name of your pack, I know the name of all packs, I find it only appropriate that I have a working knowledge of all areas of the very land I chose to live within.”

It is insulting, he believes, to have this female even consider that he may not know something. Pan, he is sure, knows most of everything there is to know. His eternal pursuit of knowledge assures his clever mind is consistently seeking academic pursuits and as such he finds himself mildly put out by her assumption, his correction firmer in this regard and yet he finds himself near incapable of being at all agitated with the girl, his features softening as he looks upon her once more, allowing his golden lips to lift ever so slightly as she sees fit to join him in this almost bizarre seeming dance the pair have taken upon themselves to become ensnared within. He is oblivious, perhaps, to her steps to move closer as his own mind considers the possibilities of the situation they have both become lodged within. They are, he is sure, in love, or at least, that is the feeling he has chosen to identify with in this moment, his mention of the word seeing the unfortunate girl stumble back in a panic although why he hardly knows. If they are in love he is simply in love, just as Indus and Justice had been and he is assured there is nothing to cure this affliction. Her momentary words see his mind distracted readily, beautiful head of copper and gold turned back towards her as she mutters her apology.

“Quite alright, with practice I am assured we can improve your blinking rate.”

That her words had been sarcastic, if not displaying hurt is entirely lost upon him, the boy believing her serious in these moments as his tail gives another wave, her demeanour shifting slightly into something more…submissive perhaps at this mention of a mate long gone. Pan, of all creatures, is well aware of the pain of loss and yet in truth he finds himself pleased in the knowledge she has not other, content to sit upon this information for now, continuing to assure what he knows, placing each thought carefully within his mind before reaching the conclusion that they simply must move in together. There is no other answer. Especially if she is sure this is stronger than love and really he must take her word for that having never experienced this for himself. Whatever words had come to his lips in that moment are swallowed back once more as she speaks again, seeming almost shocked at his highly logical proposal, his own features twisting into a frown at her words, as if he, in turn, is baffled by them.

“Have we not just conducted an experiment to prove separation only worsens out symptoms? My very desire is to see a lot more of you as I believe this may very well be some sort of cure, or at least, a treatment until a cure can be found for this. Are you suggesting you pack won’t like me? I’m very likeable. As for Glorall, of course I saw the ocean, when my Brother Weylin led the pack we often went right down to the sure and yet after his death the string of leaders to follow were simply weak and incapable. I believe Tesseract to be more acceptable yet I have lost any desire to offer loyalty to that land. Now- shall we head to Spirane?”
