The female warrior had been regaining her strength in a make shift den that her brother and two pups had found. It was not home, none of them had a home, but for now it was a safe and warm place to sleep. The female was not the type to coddle her kin, just the opposite, yet every night she fell asleep wrapping herself around their small forms, keeping them warm and safe from the dangers of the outside world. She especially worried about her daughter, such a fearful young thing. She was right to fear the world with all the evil that was out there, but she also had to learn how to fight and stand up for herself. Azula had been raised in a world of hatred and pain, and had learned from a young age how to defend herself and kill those that threatened her or her brother’s life. Azula and her brother Kyron had had many training sessions with their two pups, but Corde still seemed to fear every shadow that came their way. Azula was in no way ashamed of her daughter, she just feared of what would happen if anything was to ever threaten the young pup and Azula was not around to protect her. She was less worried about her son, he was feisty enough to squirm his way out of most situations, but she would never give up her protective side of either of the pups.
When Azula woke from a particularly deep sleep she knew instantly that something was wrong. Felan was not in the den. Panic instantly hit her when she realized she didn’t know where her son was. Kyron and Corde were still safely in the den and she quickly awoke Kyron. She told him to stay here with Corde, she didn’t need her whole family out and about and missing. After ensuring that Corde would be safe with Kyron she darted out of the den, lifting her nares to the air to pinpoint where Felan had gone off to this time. It was not uncommon for the young pup to wander off like this, and if it was not for their unique family situation Azula would not mind his wanderings, but with her father and other brother searching them all out she could only imagine the awful things that could befall her son. The warrior knew she had to stay calm or her anxiety would get the best of her and she took a moment to breathe, letting her panic slowly leave her. Once she found Felan’s scent on the ground she tracked him, weaving through the trees that Felan had been around moments ago.
As Azula made her way through the forest her anger rose from within. She was not angry at her pup, but at her brother and father, the two that had ruined her life and ruined any life that she could have given to her pups. A snarl ripped from her throat, wishing one of the two brutes were around for her to sink her fangs into. Being raised in a pack that lived off of blood shed had reflected on the female. She was not as blood thirsty as the others, not relishing in hurting ones that did not deserve it, but she had no issues hurting the ones that deserved it, wishing to see their blood spill upon the ground. Her powerful claws dug into the earth as her stilts propelled her closer to her son. If she found anyone threatening the pup she would not hesitate to do what was necessary to protect him from harm, and having someone to take her anger out on would not be a bad thing either.
It did not take the brown and white warrior to reach the stones, the spot where Felan had decided to explore this time. She did not pause her stride to see who her son was talking, just threw herself between her pup and this unknown female. The white and crimson female seemed hostile, but not yet trying to harm the pup. Azula did not care what her intentions were, she could feel the slight hostility between the two and that was enough for her aggressive protective side to kick in. She pushed Felan behind her, ignoring any protests she knew he would give her, he always tried to be tough but he was still too young to really protect himself from harm. She knew her son would not stay quiet for long and would push his way around her again most likely, like he always did in situations like this.
Her light green orbs blazed with fury as she lifted her lip into a snarl, a fierce growling escaping her throat towards this unknown female in front of her. The scar that lined the right side of her face, running from her cranium to jaw, made her look even more ferocious, showing she was not messing around and never has. She did not bother with small talk, questioning the uniquely colored ess immediately, ”What do you want with my son?” She snarled the words out, letting the stranger know she was not messing around with chit chat. Her ears laid flat against her head, tail flicking in anger behind her as she waited to hear what excuse this pink nosed lupine would come up.
