The bitter cold of the world wore on his coat, brought about the world almost as if he wrought the very season embraced upon his strong shoulders. His stride was intentional yet lax in appearance, filled with purpose to get wherever he needed to be. This day, there was no place in particular to be, he held no abode nor claim to his own though rarely did the lone status show on him. To others he appeared as one who belonged, a guardian, the weathered warrior bearing a story to be told. He was young, yet in his eyes age wore itself hard on his warped white stare while it's opposite side remained both bright with life and exhausted by it as well. His body was tattered and latched from battles won and lost, from living a life to its fullest. He was wise and wary; he didn't rush into things which was very blatantly obvious in the way he carried himself to the waters edge.
His coat was dark and unkept, a clear sign of his loner status, he didn't seem to mind this as evidence in his lackluster posture as he drooped for a drink. Lapping at the surface the chill was almost uncomfortable rolling down his throat then landing in the pit of his stomach, a small groan testament to that in itself. This soul was not the sour sort, not really, given his life to then would proof to his demeanor. Ask not the knight why he stood exhausted after battle nor why he fought, ask rather what to do to help him...or perhaps to understand. To the gathering he turned and at first he didn't feel all too obligated to approach, straightening and positioning his ears so high and close together they nearly appeared fused. There were others as inclined to remain distanced, intriguing as it was he decided an approach was only worth his time in that exact moment. As before, he had nowhere to be either way.
Stretching forth it took him no time at all to pass the one, then cross the others, looking over each with neutral and slate expression eyes alight with both curiosity and vague critiques for each. Two seemed coupled, right then and there, this the obvious intention of the gathering rather suddenly and showed blatantly on his features. He afforded a quiet breath before he turned away from the center and wandered back, settling just outside the group, remaining on his feet though giving his own wide birth to the other outsiders. He might have seemed odd though to what would he owe the pleasure to assure it...nothing at all, whatsoever. To him, they were the strangers, only those willing to approach worth anything more in such a large collection of individuals. Besides, nothing really got sorted in the masses, save for histeria and mob rule.
These, these were the result of unkempt gatherings.
