Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is something disconcerting about Naamah - be it the way she moves, sinuous and with a hint of danger or the way her laugh doesn't reach her eyes. Natu is not scared but she knows that this female is not to be taken with a grain of salt. She would have to keep a constant eye on her until she figured out her motives. The least she could do was attempt politeness and see where it got her but she had to admit to being somewhat amused by Naamah. They were such different creatures - Natu twice as large, white, and just as passive and Naamah smaller, darker, but more sinister. Natu had no doubt that Naamah would be a vicious opponent if she was one.

Still she sits, watching the dark wolf stalk towards her. The moment Naamah speaks Natu grins, a sudden flashing of teeth followed by a peal of amusement. "I will keep your secret." Natu settles back into her august pose with a hint of wry humor twinkling in her eyes, but she does not let down her guard. Eleven years have taught her the folly of such mistakes through painful memories. No, it will take much time with Naamah before she can realize what game they are playing.

Natu tilts her head to the side at Naamah's coy words, listening to her phrase the question in her wicker manner. In response to Naamah's display of licking her lips Natu smiles, baring her teeth. It is a subtle reminder to let the other female know that she is ready for whatever she has up her sleeve. She would not be fooled if she could help it. The moment their eye contact is broken Natu casts her lazy gaze down towards the water as another fish floats by. It is tempting to bury her paws into the damp earth and dart in for the creature but it would leave her exposed to this strange wolf. Not something she wanted to do.

"An empty belly. Alas, it remains such." Pulling her gaze from the fish, reluctantly, she looks at Naamah once more. "I take it that you are not here for hunting as well? Do you seek to better your skills of stalking?" There is almost a glint of challenge in her icy eyes. She stands, shaking her stiff body nonchalantly. "I am Natu, by the way."
