It was so odd to be feeling my way through this land, trying to memorize my pawsteps, each misstep I took yet another reminder that this land would be a challenge. The terrain began to change from grass to river to rock very quickly, and I found myself picking through monolithic boulders and small sharp pieces of their faces that had fallen. I move in a peculiar way, my front paws reaching a little further ahead of my body, not like normal wolves. I feel my way through this permanent darkness, trying to find someone I can talk to in this place of hard rock and odd water traps. My paws are wet and leaving trails of water behind me as I move slowly through this treacherous bit of land, the result of stepping into a small pond, or what I was assuming was a puddle, it could be bigger. How would I know, right?
Soon, I come across the scent of overlapping trails, wolves moving in from every direction. Some smelled of the wild lands, but a few pack dwellers milled about as well. Coal rimmed and snow capped sapphires peer uselessly at the space just above the crowd, or where I thought they were, curiosity sparking within my adolescent heart that I could meet someone here who knows their way around! My slim form moves in my oddly graceful and slow manner, until I am upon them, though I manage not to run into anyone. Would there be anyone willing to help me learn the land better?
