Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

”There is no victory with no loss.”

I told them to stay several feet away from each other, enough to see each other, but to cover a greater area. We would wash this fields in search of Voltaire’s daughter and we will find her. We must do it. I don’t know what I would do if I lost my girl too. I would be pretty much like Voltaire. I would try to control myself and lead the others in a search too, but… I would be just as worried. I will have to admit that I would panic in the beginning. Something I would try to hide and probably fail. I focused on the here and now. Looking for her tracks and sniffing at the air, like Voltaire himself taught me such a long time ago, walking slowly and searching every part, looking at the snow and things around, broken branches, leaves, small plants, anything that gave away Ska’s position.

Still, I haven’t found anything since Ska’s tracks disappeared a couple of feet behind, but she was heading in this direction. Wind probably blew stronger here and covered her tracks in snow. Hmm… I raised my head and looked back at the tracks. If she was here… I am probably standing right on her tracks. Oh! I must have destroyed it… My frame coming to a halt as I lifted one paw and placed it gently on the snow ahead, where I haven’t stepped, seeking to feel the snow. Fluffy it was. I walked back to where we had last seen her paw prints and did the same, feeling the snow with my paw. It is slightly harder. I just confirmed what I thought… the wind had blown and covered the tracks in this part of the fields. My frame turned and I headed forward again, towards Enocra Woodlands. Perhaps we will have more luck a little more ahead.

I kept moving, almost sure that I am in the right tracks, walking slowly. I hope Kane and Isola are having more luck…
