Announcements as of July 28, 2021

I have called you, and you have answered my call --

Do not mistake my silence for weakness, my forest kin. For I am willing to defend you with my fangs and claws, until the days come when am no longer able to. Keep an eye on the borders for Zelda and her sister Midna, because I will welcome them back into the flock on the day of their return.

The flood has left our forest home in a sorry state of disarray. I shall not tolerate this. Summer is here and we must rebuild our dens in time for winter. There is a lot of hard and dirty work ahead of us. But we shall face it together, as family, as a pack. Let's get back to work and then we shall hunt. I hunger for a feast.

From your new Alpha --

Moonshade, the Gravekeeper of Moladion

Return to Lunar Children
I fell in love with a shooting star
IP: 24.27.101.126

She was an interesting one, that is for certain. He saw her form simply roll on the ground, and he remembered doing such things himself. Yet usually, he was transferring between the world of his mind and the world of reality when such a thing happened. Maybe there was some sort of knowledge within such a simple action, something he can learn from. But for now, time had seen his form jump from the moss-touched rock and back down to ground more solid.

He did not expect his words to be so...upsetting? Well, she didn't seem too pleased about it. He hardly talked to anyone outside of his family...and maybe he learned to be a bit blunt. Things were rather upfront in his family, and if he had something on his mind he said it or asked it. He didn't wish to displease her, he only wished to know where she came from, what her experiences were like in a place far off. Maybe, it was a magical thing in his mind. That there were so many so far, seeing things so differently. Maybe he could learn from her, Azuri...but maybe, he shouldn't prod.

His opal eyes watch her as she contemplates, reflecting a genuine concern until a smile of sorts crawls onto her features. Her words made it seem like her homeland was boring, and maybe it was so. He blinked, thinking of how to him, maybe her homeland was not so boring. He had indeed left Diveen for his own desires. He could only guess why Azuri left.

"You never know. I might find it interesting. I found my homeland, Diveen rather dull after a while...but you might like it." he stated as she approached, his body still lucid and relaxed. He still had a slight pant taunt his lungs, but it was growing thin with every moment. He was surprised though, when the girl of many hues turned and brushed against his side. His star-crowned head turned with haste, eyes wide as let his mysterious orbs take in her smaller, lithe form. Quite honestly, her face was rather cute, and it was the first moment when he felt a chill down his ember-scorched spine. Never before had he felt such a thing, and his mind was dulled and twisted with this confusing infliction. His own dark muzzle followed hers, in a strange instinctive manner until it was turned completely up into the tree littered sky. His head gave a tiny tilt as she spoke, of the sky being a constant of sorts. Immediately his white-speckled tail gave a wag. He knew the night sky was rather consistent, with stars moving only slowly across the heavens. He knew he could see them from anywhere, but he never really considered them to be a piece of his home no matter where he went. He let out a content sky, keeping his eyes fixated after her chilling quite words.

"I guess, we are both sharing each other's homes...No matter where we are. I think I am okay with that," he said gently, giving his eyes a soft moment to look at the sky before he turned them slowly back down towards the girl. He felt warm and content around her. Truly, a feeling he was not used to. It was a welcomed change, and he was glad that she took the chance to trust him. Yet he wondered...if this friendship was only temporary, and she was to disappear just as fast as she came.

Life was so cruel at times. But this might not be one of those times.

That tingle down his spine had not left, not for a moment, and he knew he couldn't keep her here forever. Giving her shoulder a nudge, he spoke once more.

"I know you said earlier a race might wear you out with so little food...but I will make sure you eat well tonight. You can even sleep in this very spot tonight, if you wish," he said, attempting to be a kind and generous host. He knew Coza would not want it any other way. The alpha was a man Starfall trusted almost immediately, and he was encouraged to be a better wolf each day while he was here. It only brought a radiant smile to his face. He knew sleep was very important to other wolves. His siblings, his parents...everyone he knew slept...but not him. He slept, and yet he was never aware of it. It didn't mean he couldn't appreciate the value of sleep to others.

((Sorry for the wait! I got distracted making the site's new layout! I should be back to normal now!))

THE FOREST RANKS

THE GRAVEKEEPER

The Alpha Male of Taviora. He will accept all challenges and block any steals. He has taken an oath to protect all within the forest, alive and dead.

THE KEEPER OF SECRETS

This will be Moonshade's chosen co-alpha. They will also be able to accept challanges and steals in order to defend Taviora.

THE KEEPER OF TRUTHS

This rank will belong to the chosen heir of Taviora. This wolf will probably share Moonshade's blood. This rank can be challenged for if you believe that you are a better candidate for the job.

THE FOREST COUNCIL

Although the Alpha's have the final say in all matters, Taviora is still a pack, we are still a community. These wolves are the most senior members of our ranks. Their role is to guide, serve and protect. All of them have earned their place here and they should be respected at all times. Every position on the council can be challanged for by a subordinate pack member. However the council has the right to block a pack member from gaining the position if they have concluded that the individual has placed their own selfish desires before the best interest of the pack as a whole.

THE TUSKS

The packs lead fighter. One of the strongest and bravest in our ranks. They will answer the call to protect the forest if either of the Alpha's are absent.

THE JAWS

The packs head of defence. They are our chief hunter and guardian to all within the forest borders. They know every inch of Taviora and every wolf within.

THE HORNS

The packs most senior teacher. They are responsible for teaching and guiding all of our young and new members so that they will reach their full potential.

THE EYES

The packs trusted informant. This wolf spends a lot of their time outside the forest borders, keeping their eyes, ears and nose peeled for news or potential trouble. Due to the secretive and dangerous nature of this rank, only a wolf that the pack can trust with their lives will obtain this responsibility.

THE DARKDWELLER

This is Taviora’s Head Healer. This wolf is responsible for treating the pack's wounds, injuries and illnesses. They are also expected to be one of the first on scene when a mother goes into labour. Along with their counterpart, The Soothsayer, they will train future healers for the service of our pack and our allies.

THE SOOTHSAYER

This is Taviora’s Head Counselor. Their knowledge of healing and herbal remedies are equal to that of their counterpart, The Darkdweller. This wolf specializes in helping us conquer the unseen demons in our heads and our hearts. They are also expected to help bring all children of the forest safely into this world.

NIGHTWATCHERS

Our trusted packmates that guard the borders while the rest of us sleep safely in our dens. If something is amiss within our lands, they should be the first to intercept any threat and call for back up when needed. Some might not call themselves soldiers, but they will spill blood if push comes to shove.

DAWNSTRIDERS

The most diligent and selfless of our pack. They are up at first light and leave our inner sanctum every few days in search of prey. They hunt far and wide in order to make sure none of us go hungry. While not out hunting, they are free to relax or assist the Nightwatchers, Daylightres or Dawnstriders with their tasks.

DAYLIGHTERS

This group will make up the bulk of our pack, they are our beloved family. They are generalists and commoners who are charged with looking after the most central and sacred parts of our home. Along with The Horns, they are expected to watch out for our children. We are happy to keep all within our ranks that love and respect the forest of Taviora.

DUSKWALKERS

Rumoured to be the most free spirited and independent members of our pack, they guard when no other eyes are available. They wander down all the winding dirt paths and have been known to explore into the freelands. They are envoys and ambassadors who assist The Eyes with their duty of keeping us all safe.

ANCIENT PINES

These wolves are older and have retired from active service. We thank them for all that they have done for our pack, however long or short their tenor was. They shall live out the rest of their years with the best food, shelter and company we can offer them.

THE BRIAR PATCH

This is the name for Taviora’s nursing mothers and their litters of puppies. Once they are born, at least one parent is expected to temporarily step down from their role in order to raise their pups for the first 6 months of their lives. An exemption can be made if another mother is willing to look after the young while the parents resume their service to the pack.

THE SAPLINGS

Too big for the briar patch but not yet old enough to be called a daylighter. These are all puppies between the age of 1 and 3. Pups can start their training from 2 and above if The Horns has found a suitable Mentor for them.

THE WELCOMED

These wolves are welcome within our borders anytime of the day or night. Blocking their access will be met with disapproval and possible punishment.

THE BANISHED

They are enemies of our pack and their presence will not be tolerated within or near our home. Those caught in contact with a wolf on this list will likely share the same fate.

THE SACRED TOMBS

Our brothers and sisters that have sadly left us for their next adventures. We give thanks for their lives and we send them on with all our love, hopes and dreams. Moonshade will accept the bones of any wolf that has ever called Taviora their home and will find them a special place within our hallowed grounds. Every burial mound is individual and sacred. Tampering or messing with one will not be tolerated. A crime against the dead will be treated as though it has been committed against a living pack member.

Remember, we are always watching from the shadows ...
