Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Baby; I'm too hot for you

It was chilly and the flurries seemed to dance all around me. I was not particularly fond of this time of the season for but a single reason. It mean that girls were on the raise for potential males to sire their litters. Yes, I had just as much realization of this as any other male might. I wasn't in the shadows or anything and I was clearly an intelligent creature. I was male and you couldn't blame me much for wanting to get out there and sire a couple of litters. It is what we did after all. Further our chances and our lines. Off-spring were the future after all now weren't they?

I was drawn from my thoughts though by the scent of blood. I was drawn by the carnage that all wolves were capable of. We killed for food and sometimes, we killed because we had to. It was all a part of life but it was ours to keep. I followed the scent more than anything until a growl caught my attention. The sheen of my coat glistening as I came to an abrupt halt and shifted slightly. My honey-orange eyes swiftly scan the surroundings and I let them fall on her. I watch her as the growling had ceased and realize that it wasn't me she was growling at.

I shifted slightly and smirked before clearing my throat and twitching an ear. I studied her a little while longer before rich; deep tones escaped me then. "Well hello there. Fancied a kill huh?" I paused a moment to catch a breath before glancing at the blood that covered the snow and the carcass. A boar. Interesting but a fitting meal I guess. "Name's Meltdown and you my dear?" I could not hide against the snow for I'm of charcoal and blue. I cannot hide much of anywhere to be honest but in the back of a cave perhaps. I didn't mind though and had no reason to hide in the shadows. I do not fear what life might offer me.
