It's true, we're all a little insane.
Kharress
Crimson satellites swiveled on top a chocolate head in search of any oncoming sounds. The area as a whole was nice, Kharess thought, she wouldn't mind living within it's confines. Dark and mysterious, sure to provide just enough security and more than enough adventure. A deep chill of excitement settled in her bones at the thought of her impending exploration. What would she find here? No one but those who reigned here knew. Kharress hadn't waited long before a faint thumping sounded. Brows furrowed, radars twitching in the direction just north of her, Kharress heard a traveling wolf. She raised her cranium just slightly allowing scent particles to collect in her deft sniffer.
That must be sir Serris.
A sudden alertness brought itself upon the auburn she-wolf as her brain signaled the alpha's forth coming. Raising her lower body to stand, she prepared for the beginning of her new life.
Third times the charm, right?
She muttered inquiringly to no one in particular. Just moments later a regal looking and rather large brute busted through the underbrush. His coat was ebony in color and slightly scuffed up.
He must have been on a patrol.
She concluded as she let her bright baby blues lock on her visitor's deep azure pools. One eye appeared clouded, was he able to see from it? Was that the mark of a fight won or just a stupid decision? His stance screamed dominance but his aura simply said 'novice.' Perhaps he was new to this throne? He appeared to be doing just fine now, but how long would it last? After all, he did not greet outsiders as a king should. Her original assumption was correct ; they needed her help. This brute would make a fine king as long as she moved in quickly to stand by his side. This pack would thrive with her guidance and experience. After all, she already knew every inner working of their greatest threat. She had a personal in with one of their enemies, who in turn had it in with two other packs. She basically had knowledge - personally gained knowledge - of three of the mightiest clans. When she finally broke her own crystal eyes from his navy ones he spoke in an assertive and cocky tone. Was he teasing her? Oh yes. This was better than she had previously thought. They would be great friends. She would be just fine. Kharress bowed her head very slightly in thanks as the compliment, however acidic, fell from his lips. She thought for a moment before answering, letting his question roll around her mind as she compiled the perfect counter-attack.
Magnificent?
A quick icy chuckle,
I have heard quite the contrary. Actually, from what they've told me this pack was falling apart. That is why I'm here, you see, I felt you could use my assistance... And no, I simply do not like to be kept waiting.
Her words came out coated in what appeared to be sincerity, but really they held only mockery and sarcasm. A large joker grin spread her lips as she ended her speech. If he wanted to start the game, of course she'd play along. The next words fell from her mouth as if they were practiced. She knew what every great king wanted to hear, whether she liked it or not, this part was just a formality.
Of course I have heard of you as well, not just your motley crew. Do not worry, what I have heard of you is far better. I go by Kharress and I promise I will do you and your kingdom much good, I will serve you to the best of my ability and training, my liege.
With that she gracefully fell to his feet and rolled to her back, exposing her throat in a sign of vulnerability and submission. The next move was his, she just hoped he made the right one.
