Weather,I am really getting the feeling that they want to keep everything hush-hush because they fear some people would panic. We've all heard parents worry because they think they may have seen one and are concerned it will gobble up their little darlings.I think the deleting of info you put out there is just their attempt at hiding it and I think the closer you get to proving their existence around here the more worried they get!
