Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is. {Mink CONT.}

Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight. ~Orison Swett Marden.

Distraction had become a coping mechanism for the snowy boy, a way to keep his brain occupied and to prevent the internal wars that raged on behind his blank, glacial eyes. The small pebble that he had been manipulating between his claws had served him well, until it had made a bid for freedom and escaped down the treacherous ravine, falling further and further towards the ground. The echoing sound of its getaway lingered briefly in the colder air before becoming no more than background noise and providing no distraction at all. His eyes searched the ground, latching onto the minute bones of the ravished fish that were to become his next diversion. Slowly his paw crept along the rocky surface, claws outstretched as if to make a grab for the skeleton until Mink pulled his attention towards her; like she was his puppet master, controlling his strings. ”Yes, I guess you could say that.” The teen spluttered as his eyes drifted uncontrollably towards the toy he so desperately craved. He had never been one to shamefully advertise his pack, unlike others he knew, and was glad to hear that Mink did not big up the home his mother had chosen. Saw Tooth was like any other pack, it was exactly what you made of it. ”Homes are not all they’re cracked up to...” Words stifled as his icy orbs found the vixen’s face, regretting his words almost instantly. A pack would offer her safety in a world she could not see, it was only his bitter self that regretted his return from solitary confinement. ”Sounds great Mink.”

After his failed departure, the male had trudged back towards the female spotting the beaming smile on her face as he closed the gap between them. His tail wavered in a nervous manner amid his hind legs, flicking harshly from side to side. If he hadn’t have been so accustomed with the anger held captive within his chest, his banner may have even curled up to caress his vulnerable stomach. He stood for a moment simply eyeing up the tempting bones that lay only paw steps away, wishing he could have distracted himself away from every uncomfortable situation the world seemed intent on throwing at him. And yet he was here, waiting patiently for the blind maiden to get to her feet so that he may become her career and take her to wherever she wished. Like you would expect from a messed up, depressed teenager, Hachi’s frame was slumped and sloppy as he guided the femme higher up the rocks, occasional sighs falling from his lips. But whenever his eyes should happen to fall upon the smile that curved the lass’ maw he couldn’t help but feel slightly more... peaceful. She appeared so pure and angelic even though the gods had given her nothing but misfortune and he had believed his life to be bad.

After what seemed like a lifetime of gentle directions and guiding nudges, the pair stopped, higher than Hachi had imagined they could go. His blue eyes glanced over the ledge taking in the ant like creatures scurrying about in the land far below. From here he could see everything, the expanse of Blossom Forest and areas beyond. Areas that he would have loved to explore and then in the horizon the lands of solace, the lands he had grown and learnt to be a wolf; his true home. A knot of mixed emotions tightened in his throat as he turned his eyes away from the plains and towards Mink, putting on a fake smile out of habit and realising that facial expressions really didn’t matter. It was only when he noticed the genuine smile glowing on the ess’ features that a true smile twisted his maw. She had settled herself upon the ledge and Hachi found himself unconsciously checking that she was far away from the edge. ”I have never been up this far, no.” The teenager rested his haunches not far away from the vixen, just in case.

Though she seemed intent enough, Hachi couldn’t help but feel like she deserved to see the world before her. He couldn’t imagine a life of darkness and was surprisingly determined to help the vixen. ”Mink...” Hachi suddenly become sheepish, shuffling once again in a show of anxiety. ”I... Well...” Deep breaths dragged the cold air into his lungs, clearing his crazed mind long enough for the question to erupt from his maw. ”Would you like me to describe the view for you?”
