aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Her brow furrowed softly at the pallid wolf’s words – did he not understand the nature of her words? They oozed with flirtation, along with the grace in her actions, accompanied by childish laughter. Still, she listened politely to his explanation despite feeling indifferent to the words. But when he continued forward in his speech to facts of the relationship, she composed herself to listen more clearly. He had been abandoned by his mother. She chose not to comment upon the event but looked upon him with grave, sympathetic expression. Her gaze was held softly upon his features, ears turned to Chenzii. Leila couldn’t imagine how a wolf was capable of doing such an inhumane act, she found herself wondering of Aindreas’ relationship with his mother; whether it was good; whether it was bad.

After further greetings, the brute took to answering her question. A sullen chuckle fell from his maw and the vixen startled to hear it. He spoke an almost an inaudible phrase and Leila found herself subconsciously leaning forward to catch it. Though the maiden strained to hear, it fell deaf to her ears. She fell back to a normal position, disheartened at being unable to understand his quiet words. When he evaluated further, she found herself captured by his strange way of speech. It was formal but almost poetic – she grew almost jealous of his ability to speak like such. She imagined that he was a fairly intelligent brute, even though he had appeared to have gone through much trauma in his life. Chenzii replied first, stating that it was a perfectly good answer. “Chenzii is right.” She agreed, her bright gaze switching innocently between the two wolves.

A gentle rumble disrupted the silence. Her head ducked sideways in a soft giggle, turning her gaze from her company. When Leila’s gaze fell once again upon the pair she let out a laugh once more. “Oops, sorry… That was my stomach. I haven’t eaten in ages.” Her words were sweetly spoken. The vixen’s eyes seemed to be caught in a bright thought, tail swaying slowly. “Ooh, does anyone want to go fishing with me? We can go to the lake. Or you can just sit whilst I try to fish… I don’t mind. That’s, Aindreas, where your father half drowned me by the way!” Her maw let out sweet laughter, recalling the event that had taken place on her arrival into the pack. Leila had romped into the water and thrown it upon Kal in jest and then had found herself thrown beneath depths of water in his own play. Her heart longed for Kal’s company again – and Hellene’s. It seemed she presently lacked the company of those closest to her.

Realising that the smile had fallen from her dark lips, she raised her gaze to Chenzii in alertness, “so are you in?” She asked and then turned to Aindreas, expression inquiring the same thing.
