He'd been getting restless. There was no denying it. He'd been restless for a long time, stuck inside a pack, stuck inside a den... just stuck in general really. It was fun at times, charging down the sand dunes of his home and snapping his jaws after the gulls as they cackled and laughed at him but still... something just wasn't quite there. His only friends were either complete strangers that he dealt with once or twice (so hardly friends) or his siblings. For a boy his age, it didn't feel right at all to be stuck around his brother and sister all day. Don't get him wrong, they were fantastic to be around but still... he wanted to cause trouble or at least explore without worrying about them getting hurt. They just seemed more placid than he was. It wasn't a bad thing but it wasn't him either. So he'd been exploring by himself. It was fun still but it didn't quite fulfill his desires to do so; after all, one wolf could only know of or find so many places before they ran out of locations to go to. He'd already explored the ins and outs of Glorall, finding every last fox hole and crevice in the ground and claiming it as his own. Now, though, he had turned his sights back to the free lands, where he had heard rumors of a new place - an unexplored place. Of course it had piqued his interests and come the rise of the sun, he too had risen to venture into the crags. It didn't take him long to find out what the fuss had been over; by the falls lay shattered earth, the stones broken apart like the gull eggs he so often stole. For some time, he simply lay a distance watching the entrance to the inner labyrinth, watching as a few mice scampered in and out. Within it, it seemed to be nothing but darkness, only the slightest hints of light filtering through the canopy of stone. Eventually, though, someone else arrived into the picture - another boy, young like him but tall and... well, his general demeanor was different. He lifted his head to watch this boy then as he leaped down into the crevice, almost disappearing into the blackness save for the faintest hint of silver in the dark. For another while, he just... waited, waited until he heard the bark. That sounded inviting enough. With a roll of his shoulders, he dropped down from his ledge and landed on the stone with a thud, composing himself and stepping off into the clearing. Quite thoughtfully (if he didn't say so himself), he released his own short bark as he entered the darkness, following the quiet sound of the other as he crept further and further in. There was little light and it took time for his eyes adjust, his skin prickling with nervous energy as the sun faded away. It seemed like it was just him and this stranger, whom he could just barely make out some ten or so feet in the distance. "Are you planning on exploring this place?" He paused, calling out to the other with a cocked head, waiting to see the shadow shift so that he might gauge the other boy's reaction. It was going to be tough but it would be worth it; the place seemed huge and it was odd to think that they might have stood in the very belly of the earth. "I'll come with you."
