The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

It is heartening to see the looks shared between her brother and his soul. Despite Warlow's antisocial behavior of the past Natu can only see love growing between the pair. It is obvious in the sudden affection for each other as if they must constantly remind the other that they are thrilled to be in the presence of the other. Despite her own past - or because of it - she feels as if Mistletoe is the bridge between her and her brother. Perhaps Warlow was as unhappy as she had been and just hid it with grumpiness whereas she covered with kindness? She wouldn't press her luck by asking him though. "That is quite true," Natu agrees in regards to alpha's. Some let the power run straight to their head. From what she had heard the wolves of Iromar were psychotic. So far she had yet to meet with one which was probably a good thing. Laughter bubbles up inside of her as Mistletoe joins their bantering and her blue eyes sparkle. "He is a lucky brat for sure."

It was different to be so cordial with his sister. In fact, it was downright strange. She did not seem quite as uptight as he had always viewed her. Maybe it was just that Mistletoe could bring that out in those around him without even recognizing her own influence. There was just something about her. Of course he could be biased. The touch of her nose against his cheek makes him grin, flashing white teeth before he playfully nips at her ears at her comment. "It is no luck, sister. I need no luck for I am simply that good," and again he grins, winking at Mistletoe as if they shared some secret.

"Do not feel sadness for me, dear. It was their time. I am only grateful for the time spent with them." Natu's words are soft once more, noting the compassion within Mistletoe's green eyes. It is appreciated. This wolf will teach Warlow many lessons she has not been able to. Both wolves attention's were focused upon Mistletoe's story, with Natu's expression as one who sympathizes and understands and Warlow's as one struck by the knowledge.

The mere thought of wolves attacking her, his small soulmate, and causing her grief made his hackles rise. Without realizing it his lips twisted back into a silent snarl, eyes squinted violently and ears pinned back. He is selfish for in his head he thanks her family for sacrificing themselves for her. Not that he'd ever say that aloud. But now that he has her there is no way he can let her go. If anything like that happened he would fight until his last breath to protect Mistletoe. Instinctively he leans forward, a small whine at the back of his throat and rubs the top of his head under her neck in comfort. "I am here for you," he whispers, yellow eyes knowing and fierce. Then just as quick as it came the somber mood was gone. Warlow licks her cheek again with another smile, dipping his head in exaggeration and shrugging his shoulders forward as if to say 'well, she tried at least.'

Natu bares her teeth, not in a snarl but as if she has tasted something foul. "He would not taste very well I assure you." Then she chuckles. Yes, she is affectionate of this female. "If you ever need company or simply wish to explore, both of you, please feel free to visit me in Spirane. I would enjoy showing you around."
