Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Maeve’s grey and gold eyes look warily at the branch and Vesper. She paced for a moment with drawn ears. She had swam before but the water was not this fast and she wasn’t sure she could make it out if she fell in… A soft whine escaped her maw as she took to the tree. Short claws clung desperately onto the trees surface as she scurried across it. She was not fond of crossing such fast moving water which could easily carry her away she couldn’t bring herself to blindly trust the tree as Vesper had and though she has crossed it she still had little fate in its abilities to keep her safe and dry.

As she looked around she became hesitant and on edge. Even to Vesper’s words she was doubtful her safety was ensured. She had no pack to return to if she was wounded here and it was cause for concern in her eyes. She did not have any desire to be chased away or injured and so at ever sound she couldn’t help but feel her fur bristle and lips part just a little to show a warning of her own.

“I should not be here… I told you I would leave you alone if you brought me.” She said quietly looking around her, should this be the alphas daughter and her scent was intertwined with her own and blood who is to think she didn’t harm her. She was still young and held childish fears and yet they were very real to her. She was still willing to entertain the thought that she was the daughter of the alpha and spoke about her family as such; “I am doubting that your father is wanting an unexpected ‘guest’ and it is getting dark.” She said looking toward the horizon. Truly it was not that late but she needed to find food and a place to sleep and she didn’t know how long it would take this night.

She would wait though. Her intrigue to hear of Vespers family’s inner workings and even meeting them was exciting and yet she couldn’t help remain on edge for the scents Vesper carry could be confused and cause a wrath of a parent to be turned on Maeve which was something she had no desire to happen and yet she would defend herself is she must… for now she will anxiously wait for the alphas arrival.
