The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

They are not alone for long. Rich; brilliant eyes take in his dim lit surroundings and a frown etches briefly on his lips. There is little to see and yet; the area is bright enough that his reflectant eyes can see what they should. Tail sways a little and an ear flicks as his nose turns behind him so that he might take in whoever was there. She's a shadow outline but he can see her. He frowns a little more though; a smirk etches finally over his lips.

"You shouldn't hide in the shadows. They are much more menacing than we." He murmurs, that tone rich and smooth. His eyes glistening as a grin finds way over his mouth then. He cleared his throat then and glanced back to the male just inches ahead of him that he had approached. A questioning glisten in those eyes as he tilts his nose a bit.

"And what is that message might I ask? That they speak so loud to you with something so clear?" Ah but he is curious now and one could not really blame him. It wasn't every night that someone seems to think that the stars guide them. Maybe they do but they had never made a clear message for him. He wonders why really when others seemed to know of the wishes of the stars. Their paths clear and yet; his is not. He is a little awkward in realization about this but he'll get over it soon enough.

"No, they have never spoken to me. Not that I can recall. I wonder; how is it that you hear them?" Yes, he was very intrigued as this was such a mystery to him to be honest. Why did the stars speak and really, what was it that they could say? What was he really missing and was it so important that he should know? Meltdown doesn't know and yet; he wonders if he really cares. To be honest, the black wolf does care. He's ever so curious and questioning what it is that he's missing here. He was not born of the wolves here and had come like this one. What then, did this guy have that Meltdown does not? This is what troubles him a little with his thoughts, but should it? He isn't so sure and this is why he's questioning himself now. His attention shifts to the woman then and he tilts his nose again.

"What of you poppin? Do you read the stars and do they speak to you too?"
