Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The summer storm rages, a torrential downpour that spits drops of water like bullets. They spatter against my coat and turn the earth to mud beneath my paws. The sky is a deep dark slate, painting the land in a drab slab of earth-tone hues. The titanous trees hiss and grumble as they sway against the onslaught of violent wind, and I penetrate deep into the heart of their timbers like a silver wraith.

Massive helm is slung low atop my shoulders, indigo spheres two pits that alight like blacklights when the lightning flashes.

A white ghost is illumined in the blinding light for a fraction of a second, and I halt in my tracks as I stare upon the banshee with a feral glare. Hackles stand like silver flames, billowing wildly about my rough, lips peeling back in a churlish snarl, ivory fangs exposed and thirsting for a chunk of flesh to imbed themselves within.

I say nothing, simply stare her down, waiting to guage her response.
