She sounded like she was in quite the pickle, what with her not even knowing how to find Viora. Sinclair tilted his head with an amused smile on his face. Thinking allowed was certainly not a trait often found. Cersei spouted off all her thoughts, but she did it for conversation and curiosity. Rhetorical questions were hardly in her repertoire. He shrugged to give Maradona some sort of response, but refrained from giving her a definite answer. Like her, he had no idea how one would track a wolf they’d never seen nor smelt before!
His tail waved at her conclusion. Her mischievous grin reminded him of foxes teasing him when he attempted to chase them away from a carcass he was protecting. And rightly so… they always seemed to work in pairs and while he was dealing with one, another snuck by to take the prey. Now that he was older, it wasn’t so much of a problem because he could simple pick up just about anything now and carry it with him… but in those awkward staged when he’d been the size of a fox, they’d been the bane of his existence.
He was thrilled, however, to finally be on the end of the mischievous actions instead of receiving the other end of it. Plus, this seemed innocent enough! They wouldn’t do harm by stalking Viora. Sinclair’s tail waved happily in response to Maradona’s invitation to spar. This day was truning out to be something quite adventurous! He nodded in agreement, “I’d be honored to spar with you.” And make sure you nail her one! She needs a good kick in the tail, Sinclair finished in his mind… but, well, he would have felt guilty saying such a thing. So he let the thought fizzle into nothing before he turned. He laughed with Maradona, finding the idea of Viora as a creature rather appealing. Let them stalk this illusive beast and study it! He gestured to Maradona to come with him as he told her what he had previously observed about their subject.
“Viora’s got a white face and blue eyes. She smells well… kind of stormy. Like rain clouds, maybe?” Sinclair informed her and began searching for Viora’s scent. It was all interpretation, really. The difference in how a thing smelled was kind of like the difference in how food tasted, really. While rabbit tasted bland to Sinclair, it could taste like a delicacy to someone else. So, while Viora smelled distinctly like rain clouds to him, she might smell like something else to another wolf. Still, he hoped that his explanation would help Maradona to locate their animal of study. |
