My c o l d desire
to hear the boom, boom,
b o o m of your heart
There was the soft, raspy noise that was the closest thing to a chuckle that the Silent Baroness could muster as her daughter half-heartedly combated her efforts to make sure her face was clean. Didn't she know that if she sat there and endured it, that it would be over much quicker. She shakes her head as her daughter bats her, and leaves it be. Her red daughter would figure out soon enough that a mother never stops being a mother towards their child. The sooner the better in Caligula's silent position. As she moves towards the borders she allows herself to be loud, after all, who was she afraid of in these lands? No one. (Then again, who was she afraid of in general? No one. Save for perhaps, disappointing her own mother)
An ear flicks towards her wayward daughter as she begins, listening as she talks but not turning to face her. It was a tricky lesson to be sure. She and Tesseract had not yet named any one of their five children heir. There had been small discussions, but nothing that was set in stone. He had originally wanted one of their sons to rule, but Caligula thought that the patriarchal thought process was rather stupid. After all, didn't their mother rule alone? Why couldn't one of the girls if they showed the right temperament for it? Now the thought process became certainly more vague, and he had not spoken on the matter since. Caligula was not sure why Cersei thought of herself as the heir? Simply because of the blood that coursed through her veins, most likely. Caligula herself had thought like that once upon a time, but leadership was not promised in blood or set in stone. The silent night goddess learned that the hard way in Iromar.
When the mismatched lavender and navy eyes turned to look at her red daughter, it was a hard stare. She stiffened, and approached with ever step silent, though it was clear that the younger girl could see her. Caligula grabbed Cersei by her scruff and then shifted her weight to put her child on the ground and stood over her with a snarl painted upon her lips. Respect because of a rank she imagined in her head was not given. It was earned. Cersei would have to earn the respect of the other girl either by deed or by force, but either way, it would not come because she wished it. It would not come through words that held no meaning to the other nor any proof that they were true. The world was a harsh place. Alphaship was given because the strongest had fought for it, not because their parents were alphas. As she stood over her daughter, her expression changes and her tail sways happily over her. She steps over her and waits for her to get up before a quick clean over, knowing that she would probably annoy the red princess further but obviously not caring. When she was finished, she nudges her and watches for a reaction. Would her daughter get the lesson?
